Eu Vote 23rd June

It appears our government is doing all it can to ensure a "remain in Eu" vote comes through

Allowing Citizens of Ireland, Malta, Cyprus and Gibraltar an equal vote.

So it appears we will remain in Eu and continue to pay £55 million gross per day, £33 million net per day after all returns

Ireland has population 4.8 million

Cyprus has population 1.4 million

Malta has population 0.5 million

Gibraltar has population 20,000

All will vote for UK to remain as they don't want left in the EU on their own, so the vote is already rigged before it begins

whether you want to stay or leave, looks like the government is ensuring you stay.

Who will be able to vote?

British, Irish and Commonwealth citizens over 18 who are resident in the UK, along with UK nationals who have lived overseas for less than 15 years. Members of the House of Lords and Commonwealth citizens in Gibraltar will also be eligible, unlike in a general election. Citizens from EU countries - apart from Ireland, Malta and Cyprus - will not get a vote.

I won't give my political opinion here, but it's only people from those countries (as they are in the commonwealth) who are resident within the UK that get to vote. Not the entire countries. Your figures are therefore inaccurate.

The 'in' camp are starting their scaremongering tactics but no matter what they say, we are in the 'leave' camp. We lived in Spain for 6 years amongst Norwegian and Swiss people. It certainly didn't affect them not being members of the EU. There were no visa requirements for them nor any restrictions whatsoever. I drove coaches and trucks all over Europe before and after Schengen. Nothing much will change for us common people when we hopefully vote to leave. (Except maybe the £55million daily levy we pay the buggers).

The OP is not quite right - as a member of the EEA Norway pays, although at less rate than full membership but does not get any veto, also Norwegian trade with EU is subject to stiff tariffs.

Consider this: population migration.

We are repeatedly told that manufacturing in UK cannot compete with foreign labour rates. So employers welcome foreign nationals with open arms and the wage bill went down.

So our home grown talent suffered but without foreign labour seems to me our labour costs will go back up.

Thing is - it's not the Europeans we have the gripe with - it's the Brussels political machine. My views of that are the same as views of Westminster - it's an old boys club screwing the citizens.

The question for me is whether Scotland votes for Scotland or whether we vote for the UK.

Strange thing is; SNP are totally confident that the whole or majority of Scotland will vote to stay in?

I was a member of the SNP, but cancelled that membership, I will be voting the UK out of Europe, and think the UK can do better on its own, perhaps pay off some of the huge dept we have using the £55 million a day we will be saving rather than hand it over to the Eu every day.

and if the UK votes out, I sure bet a good few other countries will follow.

But why should there be a difference?

I find it totally illogical why, supposedly, a majority of Scots want to stay in the EU.

I've asked several times but nobody has answered what for me is a very simple question. What on earth is the point of getting independence from Westminster, and then being ruled 100% by a bunch of unelected beaurocrats in Brussels??????

Before I start, I want to make it clear I have zero issue with Europeans and immagrants who have came here and work harder than a percentage of Brits do!!

I personally see no reason why those who voted for independence were not bothered by the fact we would have been out of the EU but now are all on the yes camo for staying in the EU. The mind boggles...is it just to oppose what Westminster want?

I was and still am a yes voter for independence but I do feel we should leave the EU. It's genuinely sucking us dry...(not that type of sucking

) the influx of Europeans claiming things such as working tax and child tax credits because they have families back in their own nations is a joke. It really is a joke.

Poland for example, the minimum wage per year is like £4000, in the UK it's what, £14000. I could google it but I'm being as honest in my thoughts as I can be. So if say a polish man comes to the uk, family stays in Poland, he earns nearly 4 times the amount and also gets tax credits per year which dwarf the annual minimum salary in his own nation alone. This means that from working here, his family are fucking minted back home!!

(I actually know this from speaking to a polish lad on a building site when Jeremy Vine was on about it on BBC radio 2 last month. Two kids at home, wife doesn't need to work...)

I'd rather that if we did stay in, they weren't allowed to claim credits for their families unless they also lived here. I would happily welcome families to the country who were willing to work.

If you are good at your job, corporations will still recruit you, take care of paperwork & visa's the same as they do for USA, Malaysia and other countries outwith Europe, okay less qualified jobs may be more difficult to get but then, they are 10 a penny

Lets be courageous and be in charge of our own destiny without the ties & demands Europe puts on us

I was originally in favour of Europe as in general I'm pro migration but the TTIP Legislation that Brussels is trying to push through scares the shit out of me as it will erode our working rights as well as giving multinationals the right to sue government's and hence taxpayers for legislation that harms them. These companies should be begging to trade on our shores not forcing archaic laws on us.

Many Multi National Corporations, although excellent payers have you sign out of the working time directive due to required working hours,

I don't see the EU doing anything about zero hour contracts

And for those who work with minimum skill, your wages will soon drop as more Europeans come in and work for less

Now, can someone remind me how much the UK received from EU due to all the flooding we had in England and Scotland at the end of last year, it must have been a huge amount considering we pay in £55 million a day to EU

oh wait no, we got ZERO from the crisis fund

We used to be called, Great Britain. When you go abroad, dont drink the water, watch out for muggers theives and murderers. Dont fall ill, the hospitals aren't as clean, well equipped or staffed like British hospitals. The Pound was THE trading currency. British citizenship was held in high esteem.

Then we joined the EEC. Look at us now, the united kingdom in the EU.

And the zero hours contract clause was implemented by the UK government in reaction to the implementation of the agency worker's directive... of course the UK government couldn't have agency workers earning a living wage... so they abused a loophole that was intended for seasonal swedish lumberjacks to abuse and exploit BRITISH workers. but ok if we exit the EU then our british government will look out for us! dream on

You're right!!!

But more easy way will be just cut off all benefit to people from Europe. I'm not British and from last 11 years I was working, I never apply for any of yours benefits. From last 6 years I have my own business and I'm happy with that. Lots of people from European countries are do the same. like I said cut off all benefits and "you" will be have not problems with that anymore.

Much of the Tory manifesto at the last 2 elections has been a joke, because stuff they claimed they were going to do, they couldn't, because it was EU controlled.

It's why I keep asking what the point is of getting independence from Westminster, but wanting to be a full member of the EU.

If Scotland was to become independent, it would have to accept the Euro, a totally discredited currency, and in 10 years time the Scottish way of life as we've known it, would have disappeared. we'd simply be a European state. Too many people seem to be totally blinkered to the EU agenda.

I do not actually believe that the majority of Scots will vote to remain in Europe

Okay the snp are shouting that the majority will but I simply feel it will be beneficial for the whole of the UK to opt out and work as one united country

Im not pointing the finger at the snp, they are, I suspect doing a bit of scare mongering too, but I don't think their followers will all want to opt in

but then again only time will tell

My post was very tongue and cheek and at no point did I say these people would be wanting to have sex with me.

I don't believe I'm gods gift, in fact the very opposite.

No one is queuing up to meet me either.

I was just meaning I would like to have a connection with someone I share the same values with. I'd find it hard to sleep with someone who was racist/homophobic/sexist etc. I also didn't state my position on the vote.

Much of the Tory manifesto at the last 2 elections has been a joke, because stuff they claimed they were going to do, they couldn't, because it was EU controlled.

It's why I keep asking what the point is of getting independence from Westminster, but wanting to be a full member of the EU.
