The general consensus...

If after chatting and swapping mail someone asks to see a face pic its only fair its a two way process. Just had a lady demand to see mine but no interest in reciprocating.....

very stange indeed!

Any thoughts?

Yes and faced with ''I asked first''.......yes something beffiting kindegarten I wished them good luck as a selfish, double standard attitude is not for me!

It happens unfortunately, i've experienced occasions where i have went ahead and sent pics after such conversations only to receive the reply, "not what i'm looking for" and you don't get them to reciprocate anyway.

I'd be happy to reciprocate and send pics to anyone i deemed genuine who made the effort to send pics even if i wasn't interested in meeting. It's only manners.

You made the right move, block them and move on is probaby the best advice. (Probably a bloke anyway lol)

I don't think she was selfish or had double standards, necessarily, on the face of it. If you contacted her first, which would be the usual male-female introduction and she then asked for your picture before you asked for hers, why was she wrong to ask you send yours before she send hers? Women often keep their face pics secret for safety reasons and if a person says 'no thank you' before sending a reciprocal picture, take it on the chin and move on

She was not wrong to ask for a pic (it was the impolite manner!) its only natural to be curious esp. if interested, however if anyone has no intention to reciprocate and becomes all cagey then thats different. It takes two to tango so without seeing a face pic I could and would not progress myself as I dont believe in wasting someones valuable time.

I dont believe in asking for a pic if ill prepared to show myself, its only curtious and respectful.

We all have the right to be discreet and keep our face pics hidden.

Its not that important and as you say you simply move on a and pass these peeps bye.

Ok, maybe I misunderstood. I took it as 'possibly you made initial contact, she asked you for your pic, you asked her for hers, she said 'you first" . Someone has to go first lol and if she was first to ask, why not?

Think the op was clear in what he was saying the fem asked for a pic of him which i understand he send but she failed to send him one back

maybe she didnt like what she saw who knows ? but a polite no thank you would have been sufficant rather than refusing to send a pic back .

Guys, I refused to send my pic as it was clear it was not a two way process beside the lady in question did not even care to explain the situation or her view point, shame really!

No point second guessing she obviously has her reasons.

A lot of issues here stem from poor communication and until you have met someone or know them then its difficult to judge.

That's what I thought had happened. It seems rude not to send a reciprocal picture but then, neither of you sent one. I still don't think it's unfair for the person who asked first for a pic to get one first.

If it were me, I'd start to be suspicious of someone not being willing to send one when asked, and back off. I'd think THEY were unwilling to send THEIRS. Isn't the Internet a complicated thing? So often we misread what's meant and take a different tack

Does seem strange, but then nowt on fab surprises me anymore.... if anyone 'demands' to see my pics, I always keep them waiting, lol, or tell them to go into chat as Im usually on cam

Agreed with Scottisheather the communication on the Internet is poor and often taken out of context or literally! I suggest msn or even a phone chat (only after several messages) which is a much better indicator to judge someone and get to know them and ofcouse the chatroom where I go on cam.

After that it's not difficult to instinctively know if someone is prepared to reciprocate, perhaps with some fabs is an adult playground whereby the fantasy outweighs the reality!!

you this one so right on the head so many happy to do the flirting and chasing till you say yes you will meet them then they run scared proving the thrill is in the chase for some but they have no intention of ever meeting .
