I'm off on a works night out on Friday and it seems we will be going to Ashton Lane. I am being told it is the trendy place in Glasgow.

The place is new to me ... is it any good and where are the best places to migrate to?

Well where does one start. You are just round the corner from Byres road. I'm sure you'll have a ball. Lots of pubs and eating places in that area. Enjoy xxx

Yeah Ashton Lane is pretty good. More of what you call bars rather than pubs. Good restaurants nearby

I'm the old fashioned type sorry. The new word is bars not pubs but they are the same thing at the end of the day lol

Love Ashton lane . Bit pricey but its worth. Great food. Lots of bars .near the city center.

Nothing worth a look in in Livingston BTW.

Not sure how the night will pan out ... but workmates (all much younger) tell me it is a great area.

The West End in general is a great place to be and socialise in... ok if I see a guy with a huge black dot his face I will say hi...
