That they were seriously addicted to sex ?

Sitting here thinking that I am for numerous reasons but I don't know if a GP would take you seriously if asking for help.

There are many types of addiction and believe me there are places you can seek advice or help from without speaking to your gp.

You could try one of the sti clinics or some voluntary organisations.

Yeah but part of the problem is I don't really want help.

I get quite frustrated with heavy mood swings when going through a dry spell.....but then I also enjoying punishing myself by refusing to masturbate.

It's my own kind of mental torture in a way.

Sex addiction is real and as with drug or alcohol addiction can have devistating effects to individuals and those close to them.

My guess is you probably don't have an addiction. Just a high Sex drive. Usually addiction is determined in a few ways but mainly on how much their actions impact on other aspects of their lives or do they put themselves or others at risk in their behaviours .

There is help out there and your GP can offer some assistance and a referral to a counsellor.

If they were because of your sex life then maybe. Did you lose those marriages because you couldn't control your sexual behaviour?

Have a google for psychology stuff on sex addiction and see if any of it relates to you. Some guys i've spoken to on here i'm pretty sure they are affected.

A decent Dr would take you seriously if it's causing you problems right now.
