Was just looking at getting a new suspender belt/outfit and came across a site with 6, 8, 12, 14 strap suspenders belts. Only ever seen them with 4 in the local shops, so that's all I've ever bought. Are more straps better? If so why?

E.K . Glasgow

if only 4 straps they tend to pull and sometimes the back ones ping off ( problem as i'm taller ) so the 6 or 8 strap ones mean less stress on each suspender means less chance of one popping off . Sadly as i'm unable to shop online i only have 4 strap ones anyway love a lovely 8 strap belt or basque

I like 6 and 8 straps but the straps have to be wider than the normal thin ones. And some decent clips, metal ones with rubber are best, less slippage and chances of them pinging are slim

Yeah the straps look a lot wider with metal clips. Didn't think they looked as pretty though. Kinda old fashioned looking. Maybe it was just that site. I'll keep looking. Thanks.

I've learned from experience, and chatting on here, that the metal clasps are the best.

I prefer 8 strap, but only as I like how they look. As does my fb

I think more than that will piss you off when you try to do them up!!

I find six straps good for holding the stockings up, for the fit, the feel and the look.

You'll get lots of compliments. I have 8 and 10 strap suspenders. Much more flattering on my figure as its a bit fuller. The metal clasps hold better too. See my pics!

Thanks for all the comments/suggestions. Going to go with a 8 strap to start with. If anyone knows of any good sites for them can you post here (not sure rule wise if that is allowed) or message me.

Actually for every day wear " I do " 6 straps are so much better for keeping seams straight and more comfortable X

They do look more practical than sexy.

every day wear is my black 10 strap belt or my 6 strap girdle. They are very sexy IMO.

"They do look more practical than sexy. "

Don't be put off by the look. I wasn't quite into the look but I now prefer the vintage style of the wider straps. I also have a lot of vintage girdles and stockings.

I have a wide variety from your local sex shop, basques and corsets but I find the vintage ones more comfortable and stylish.

Not for everyone but worth trying on and seeing
