I love the build up to Christmas day.. Opening the presents.. Christmas dinner and the after dinner silly games lol

So is it a good or bad time for you?

village life, closest main town inverness

Love it...

It's the only time of year I get a decent break from work

I get to give and receive pressies

I get nookie

Almost everyone is in a good mood

You're allowed to overeat and overdrink

What not to like about it, lol

Mixed one. Miss family that are gone but love it too mainly because my son. Love it even more when I'm super organised and can enjoy the build up to the big day. It's all about spending time with family and close friends.

miss the kids being small and excited.

They all go out on Christmas even now and it's a struggle to get them up on Christmas morning lol

I like the build up and the excitement for my children. However I dread other aspects of it. Playing Santa alone on Xmas eve at 2am. When the kids go to bed on Xmas night and I'm back to being reminded I'm on my own. And new years eve. It was very much my dad's time of year and I still miss his d*unken call at midnight.

Christmas is lovely of course and it's definitely a time to be with those you love. Its just a bit of a double edged sword I guess.

I look forward to the future when my boys have families and I can have my house bursting at the seems with people enjoying the day. Maybe even by then I will have found someone to play santa with me.

I love spending time with the kids although they tend to ignore dad these days lol.

But then there are those I don't see who I miss and those who I've lost over the years.

I'm starting to enjoy it again due to a certain little mister being on the scene. It really is all about the children for me and always has been. Luckily I have a family who, like me, don't buy into the huge hype and commercialism. We have a simple family time, but we do that all year round. My son says Christmas is just a normal Sunday lunch at mum's... but you wear a silly hat to eat it.

I miss my other son and my daddy dreadfully at Christmas. It's about who is round your tree...not what's under it.

spot on jinty my wee mum had her third stroke six years ago and we were told she wasn't going to survive it,she did and after 23 weeks in hospital she came home to us just in time for Christmas so now we always make sure its special as we never know when it might be our last

Chrismas for me is about my Grandkids.

Used to be the kids but now they're grown up with their own.

Started a new job and a new band but promised to be on my best behaviour this year ( Will be a first in 40 years if I do get through without shagging someone from work)

Also retired from the Doors so no fun and frolicking in Glasgow or neighbouring towns finest hostelries, again with weird and wonderful local ladies.

This boy is in his best behaviour this year.

Unless a piece of Dynamite gets ger hands in his butt

I dislike it intensely. I'm prone to depression at this time of year. I can't stand christmas at all. I t goes against what it's all about.

For me, it's a sad time. Seeing people being bullied and pressured into doing things they don't want to.

It;s disgusting and horrific, I play no part in it at all. No office xmas party, no presents to people, no nothing. I will not subject myself to it nor anyone else.

Peace

Humbug, Christmas is a time for peace and quiet if I can get away with it.

Not that I don't enjoy the family Christmas when it happens but glad we don't do it every year. Too much stress and pressure on it being a certain way.

I'm a Grumpy old man

Hate it. Put on a brave face, but can't stand it.
