I'm not sure surprised is the right word. Sometimes the air crackles with electricity - and for me that can be men or women. And it has little to do with looks. I don't know what it is.

There are girls on first glance I didn't find attractive in the slightest, then after a period of time, bumping into each other and getting to know each other, they're lovely bubbly happy personality shone through and I found myself attracted to them, and vice versa, girls I found attractive, then got to know they had zero personality and were materialistic, I stopped seeing any attraction!

Physicality is a hugely important part of attraction, of course, but attitude and communication is equally important, probably more so to me, personally.

The way someone writes and messages will attract me one thousand times more than any pictures they have.

And if they are like that in real life, then it will all come together perfectly.

I've been surprised quite a lot by this. Most of all by C. He would not have been my 'type' but there is just something about him, can't put my finger on it, but if he was choc I'd be eating him all the time.

Yes, often! I very rarely pay much attention to someone's picture on here when considering to meet, instead there has to be a connection when exchanging messages.

We started off by looking for "Barbie and Ken" and soon learn't that was not the way at all.

we once met a couple at a club and had a great time, once home we checked there profile and had to admit that we would have never contracted them. We changed our attitude very soon after.

To many on here go by looks alone, we get it all the time, which means they miss out on our great personalities.

Personality, charm, wit, sense of humour, humility, the ability to make someone smile.

These are just as important as looks. Yes, it helps if they are good looking but most on here would class themselves as unattractive, and yet, there is something about them that makes them attractive to others.

The ability to eat cake is just an added bonus

The sad thing about this site and many like it are people do go on looks an age parameters. They never look beyond, far too many shallow people.

I worked the doors for years where sex is on tap and yes ugly old hard men like me could get laid every weekend and by different women.

I came on here looking for a specific thing as I got tired of the same old same old and was surprised at how many folk on here are the same.

Get past the "Barbie/Ken" attitude and life in here is brilliant

For me you obviously go by looks. Body type. However for me personality is massive for me. Someone who makes me laugh. I feel comfortable with. But needs to be a good kisser. Someone who is spontaneity. Is good.

Something that's surprised me while browsing Fab... would have to say I've had my eyes opened about experimentation. Although I stress that this is purely theoretical at the moment, but through chatting with singles and couples I REALLY like the idea of a no hold barred mfm (or mmf if that's the correct term). On here a good picture can catch your eye and be instantly aroused but if you get a person with no pics and theres good convo and banter then by the time they send you a pic it doesnt realy matter because there personality is attractive

So... We're all agreed that it's as clear as mud and attraction, sexual or otherwise can be physical but more often than not it's a mysterious, magical thing. I like it that way don't know about anyone else
