Shy Girls

Ok so I'm a very shy girl and although I'm coming out my shell when I'm on here I really need to be less shy when I finally meet face to face.

I'm planning a night in CJ's soon and although I'll Deffo go I'm feeling a tad nervous about it.

So my question is for any other shy girls what was your first experience like for you and what did you do to overcome your shyness.

I keep getting told just throw myself into the deep end but that's not really helpful. Xxx

After a few meets I'm still as nervous and shy to begin with but all fades and you just enjoy it for what it is. If my nerves or shyness disapered I'd be worried

So did you just throw yourself into the deep end and just go for it?

I think there are a lot of people who are shy. It's very easy to be confident behind a keyboard.

Sometimes going for it helps. Sometimes it doesn't make much difference.

Sometimes you have to force the confidence to try and believe it.

There are many times I've been on nights out with friends and sat quietly in the corner for fear of drawing attention to myself.

I'd suggest finding an outgoing wingman or wingwoman as it's always easier with a friend x

A glass of vino. C knows I'm really shy and I always get nervous going to meets and social nights out. A wee glass of wine, not a lot, just takes the edge off the nerves.

I'm a VERY shy person in real life, and the thing that helps me hide it was the fact that I knew I'd not go anywhere in my chosen career being shy.

Nowadays thy shyness only kicks in when I'm nervous or I take a fancy to someone.

The best advice I can give to you is to focus on something else when you're feeling shy and try to ignore the shyness.

I was going to say, look through the forums, find someone who seems confident, check them out, talk to them and ask if they want to go with you. People will be happy to go with you and help you if the shyness strikes.

I spotted a shy lady on Saturday night at the social and made a beeline for her and coaxed her back into the centre of the room where she absolutely deserved to be.

There are loads of others like me.....they're easy to spot, male and female.

My bf is coming with me I would never do it alone.

I think the reason I am so shy is its all new to me. It's hard to explain but I was shy first mff I had but not nevous. Think its because I've always liked girls and felt something was missing.

As for swinging it's not because anythings missing it's just extra fun. I've been in a relationship for 11 years so it's been 11 years since last man I slept with.

When I go to CJ's I'm determined it's only to socialise, I can't say I won't do anything because I said I'd never be seen dead in a swingers club just a month or so ago and now I want to.

Thanks everyone for your help and advise xxx

Hi, I went to CJs on my own and it was very scary. I'm very shy, but put on a bit of an act and had fun .

If you want to some company I would love to go with someone else, because there hardest but I found was starting conversations etc.

I think it's really uplifting to see the confidence in a person growing. In any context, whether it be professional, personal or social.

To see someone who had reservations, fears and reluctance gradually grasp a situation and take control of it is extremely pleasing and inspiring.

I really like what Andy said about guiding someone to have the confidence to be positive about themselves and get involved.

Someone at an old workplace told me once; Everything is easy when you know how to do it.

That still strikes a chord to this day with me. Once you know you can do something, you can take off.

Good for you Bubblegum for making the step.

I've never understood why women get nervous around guys they like, guys aren't as judgy as women "NO OFFENCE" but we don't look at women & not pick every little detail, whether they dress nice enough, talk nice enough, yes there are most men who look at a woman with big boobs & think "oh aye" but a guy wouldn't turn you down becuase your not big chested.

Maybe that's not true for every guy but for me its all true.

As any woman on fab will tell you, the women have all the power, "not with me of course I'm the pupput master & I pull the strings"

So don't be shy

I know you were trying to help and thank your looking at it from a male p.o.v.

I'm not scared no guy will fancy me, I little no girl will I am also a little put off by all the flesh on show and how I measure up to the other girls. It's just a way a lot of girls think. Also as stated I'm not there to play but certain people certain sanarios then it could happen.

Xxx

Yep....have to agree....more confident this side of keyboard / shy when meeting.....at first!
