many people question their self esteem those who are confidant don't that's the difference in my opinion

Self esteem comes from within a person in that they feel good about themselves, life and the future. Confidence is an outward picture that people see. They can go hand in hand but not always. you can have low self esteem but seem confident to the outer world.

Self esteem is a build up of many factors that lasts. Confidence can be a short term thing ie feeling good because you won £25 quid on the lottery

Confidence is having faith in your abilities - self esteem slightly expands that to having self respect and knowing your own worth... I agree with Andy they go hand in hand

People can be confident in that they know they're good at something. Doesn't mean they like themselves, though.

It's possible to be confident with low self esteem ...but im not sure it's possible to have high self esteem with no confidence

Confident can be faked but self esteem can't
