Hmmm hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a total sham like the scam that was the Edinburgh masquerade ball a few years back that saw the event being cancelled literally at the 11th hour by the organizers who then used the money they were to return to everyone for tickets to pay for themselves to go on a holiday to the Caribbean...scandalous stuff! Wish I'd thought of it first lol x

I got my money back, had a fantastic alternative night and am completely aware of who was responsible for the ball "fiasco" so personally speaking I think the saboteur^^^^^ (whoever that maybe) didn't really achieve anything.

We did as well. I understand that some people shelled out for hotels etc and may feel aggrieved but that is not the fault of the organisers.

Lol well actually the event was indeed cancelled at the 11th hour and that much is common knowledge and secondly it was widely discussed on the forums that they were "terribly stressed" after all the effort of organizing the "event" which was can through no fault of their own although it was acknowledged that they had made the decision to cancel it...it might not be a pleasant version of events but such is life...they subsequently left the site shortly after that and I know a fair few people who didn't get back their £12 ticket fee such is life eh lol why so serious?

Not as great a yarn spinner as the organizer of that fateful event

To the OP...your post was removed as you named the place. It seems the thread has gone down a slightly different route now so if you want to start another without the name of the place please
