I'd only been to CJ's once in their last location and I felt very claustrophobic due to volume of people, enough to put me off going back. How does the new place compare?

"I'd only been to CJ's once in their last location and I felt very claustrophobic due to volume of people, enough to put me off going back. How does the new place compare? "

Like day and night..

Rooms are bigger, communal areas are bigger... More rooms (social) and more playrooms.

Just my opinion but I'd find it hard to feel claustrophobic anywhere in there (and I can see your point about the old place on the busier nights)

I am glad so many people were able fo enjoy last night. I appreciate it was the first night for a new club and that the power cut is totally outwith anyones control.

The venue is a gorgeous building.

However, for us we will not be back until we know that the issues that arose last night are dealt with.

It is simply not acceptable that several people were observed videoing in the play rooms - once aware of it staff dealt with it quickly. However for every one caught - how many were undiscovered.

Single guys bursting into private rooms where the doors were shut. It is not acceptable and shows an absolute lack of respect.

A shame, because there is potential there - but for us - until it is sorted we will go to the clubs down south.

It was never like that at the old venue ... I think some people took advantage of the chaos of the busy opening night and the power cut combination ... Doubt it will be a regular occurence

I know it was a one off but got to say it wasn't only the guys with the phones ... Going to have to be a zero policy on phones.. If your seen with one, male, female or couple your out.

The room locks were needing adjustment to keep folk out but unfortunately a few guys gave the rest a bad name. If the lady says no it means no, some guys had to have that reinforced before they took the hint....

That said, it's a great new venue, lots of space both to play and to socialise. Don't let it spoil what is otherwise a fantastic venue. I met a lot of old friends and made some new ones too.

I'll def be back when I'm home again

Shocked to read this.

We had to call off at the last minute and as such can only judge by the comments being left by those who were there.

However, having attended the old place many times with no such issues, i can't imagine Caroline and her staff would allow such behaviour to be repeated.

It is at the end of the day a business and one that won't survive if allowed to go unchecked.

Although no excuse, perhaps the size of the new venue and such a busy night played its part in the "teething troubles", was there sufficient staff to cope etc. ?

We all know the night had its problems which couldn't be helped, but let's not look at the negatives. The bar staff were absolutely amazing, they were friendly and so helpful the whole night in n out of the bar. All the other staff were great too but when the power cut hit they had no way of trying to find out what was happening without dropping other duties which the muppets decided to use that time to break rules. Hats off to all the regulars though that helped out in getting everything on the straight n narrow too.

Personally it hasn't put us off, yes it was very strange wondering if it was part of the whole Halloween night to start with lol but overall the night was a huge sucssss as everyone will see with all the lovely verifications floating around

Well done and thank you to CJ and all her lovely staff..... Even the bastard executioner hehe

I am looking forward to my 1st visit which will be next weeks GG GB. I have always been impressed at CJ's with the staff and crowd and it's a shame to hear that a few bad apples tried to spoil the evening. I am certain this would be a minor hiccup and future parties will be professionally run with good conduct by all guests.

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for coming along to the opening night and making it such a successful night. It was so nice to see so many regulars and newbies.

Unfortunately we had a few teething problems and obviously they will be looked at.

The power cut was out of our control and as some said I think some people took advantage of that. The guys in question were dealt with as soon as I was made aware of it and asked to leave. Yes we had a few problems with the locks on some doors and again they were replaced on the night as soon as we were made aware of it.

Overall the feedback has been very positive and any teething problems will be rectified for future parties.

Thanks again to everyone who attended and thank you to the staff and friends for all there help on the night and preparations for the opening night.

I look forward to seeing you all again for future fun. Cj xx

Well said, like a lot of things it's easier to criticize than to look at the positives. Teething problems themselves can be a positive, it inspires change usually for the better, after all we never learn and grow from things always going right, and can only evolve and learn from mistakes made.

Personally never saw anyone abuse the mobile phone rule but lots had them out but that was mainly to use as torch during power cut but appreciate that could have made some nervous and accept some abused same. But for every small negative there were countless positives as I've said before at last we have a proper club to rival anywhere. The last venue was good but relied on great group of guests and amazing organization to make it work and it did work but the new building allows cj to build on a great product can't wait for more.

These problems have now been addressed and more security has been put in place and for that unfortunate occurance of the power cut ,things have been now put in place. The use of mobile phones in that case came in useful but will certainly not be acceptable in future.

There is signs now about the club saying about mobiles.

I'm sure the learning misfortune of that has made C put things in place.

100% support for this fab new venue

Hope to see old and new guests
