We just got totally gubbed by a team that couldn't beat Japan! It's like our football team all over! Gutted!

Birmingham (3nts)

Unlike the football team, they still have a damn good chance to get out of the group.

Won't go much further on that performance though. Got totally bullied.

Always going to happen. SA are just brutal. Their player pool is just massive.

Eg The University of Pretoria has 55, yup 55 teams and over 100 coaches.

That over 1200 players at one club.

Always going to be hard against teams like SA. Vast improvement in the Scotland team though with Vern Cotter.

We'll get out of the group and still a big possibility of the quartets. Japan got lucky against South Africa which can happen and remember we thumped Japan !!!

What gets me is the RSA aren't even one of the big favourites, let's hope we don't get New Zealand or Australia.

There's one thing that has been so clear for the scotland set up is to stop picking players from private schools and start picking from public schools then we would have a much bigger more progressive pool of players to choose from and push Scotland back into the limelight again and lead from the front instead of keeping it in the old boys club for the rich

I agree but when I was in school rugby wasn't even mentioned in p.e or taught outside of school. I believe it is starting to get better as there is now a local club but I had to travel to play. Hopefully see a better pool of rugby players as a mix is always best

Yep because that's working so well for the football team!

Rugby in public schools is no where near as big as it is in private schools. It's the same the other way round with football In private schools, it really isn't the main sport.

Scotland didn't have the strongest team against South Africa but that wasn't the must win match. The Samoa match is the most important. Win that and we are through.

However the next game is going to be hard as its Australia or Wales.

Rugby is a thugs game played by gentleman and football is a gentlemens game played by thugs.

Regardless of how we do against Samoa, although we will beat them, we at least lasted longer in the tournament that England did. That won't happen in many sports.

Why does it matter that we lasted longer than England? Or Uraguay! Support your team don't just hate the English .... Controversial I know lol. Hate the divide just enjoy the sport!

Err they do pick plenty people from state schools, if you really think they're excluding folk from the team based on their education you're smoking crack
