Not replying to messages

why do alot of people never reply to private messages hmm?

its not like the messages are rude or offensive in any way, just a friendly greeting etc but a reply out of common courtesy would be nice instead of them reading it n binning it or no replying.

if yer new its hard to make pals on here if that goes on, at least im one of the few polite single dudes on here that kinda get lumbered in the category with all the other single guys.

seems a bit cleeky 2 me.

Lol babe you wanna take a look at my mail box 109 at the moment and be ore now i've logged on lol.

Came back from holiday to 122 i just had to delete them all except for the one's from members who had probs with the site and start again so if you or anyone else has noticed i have deleted there's then sorry but its so hard to cope with so many !

Being a woman on here, I just get bombarded with messages all of the time; a lot of them are from people who have never read my profile and are not at all what I'm looking for...generally I'll at least send a "no thanks" message back, but if I'm in a foul mood, they just get deleted. It's hard to reply to every message when there are so many of them, so yes, if I'm not interested, sometimes there will be no reply.

we get a lot of friend invites and a lot of messages describing how guys would like to fuck pamela all ways, those are deleted and the people ignored.The ones that try and email the old 'pamela lets meet just us and cheat on our partners' are blocked. it states clearly on our profile that messages like this will be ignored yet they still send them.

in saying that we have no problem in chatting to single guys as we are not rude people,but the second they turn dirty or pushy they are again ignored.

we get a fair bit of mail from guys and FB's being friendly, saying hi and they are always replied to. being polite when someone has taken the time to be nice to us is only fair. We like getting mail that is respectful and do sympathise with the single guys on the site that do get tarred with the 'annoying perv' as its the minority that ruin it.

Theres a singleguy we chat to and he is a gentleman. we have all the time in the world for him

Some dont think when sending a message and i wont reply to one's that say ... Hey i mailed you so when we going to shag !!! Errm we aint lol

Guy's get a grip ah .... wanna sit on this. fancy sucking this etc aint gonna get you anywhere well not with me anway !

Message here is think before you mail someone !!!!

The not getting replies to messages used to annoy me too.....until a female friend showed me the volume and sort of messages she got just from logging on. Given that 95% were just 'fancy a f**k?' or 'wanna MSN?' you just have to accept that your effort may be lost in the dross.

I would have to say because of the minority who dont read profiles and just bombard us with emails did get ignored, now we have chosen to block all mail from single guys using the filters, I would suggest that you spend some time in the chatrooms and get talking in there, we have talked with some great blokes in chat and if we get on we mail them first so they can get through the filters, we find the chatrooms lets your personality out and we know if we get on instead of 100s of emails wanting to shag my wife, dont get me wrong im happy to watch that, I just dont think I could afford that much time off work,

fifeguy soz u dont get replyes maybe a wee pic get u replyed 2..im talking here 4 myself..i get fed up way guys emailing just way hi hows u?..thats it so yea i delete it if thats all hes got 2 say then why should i bother? or if i get email with no pics then yea again i delete as it states on my profile so if they cant read then it get deleted again lol soz but fems get loads a emails an i try replye 2 wat i see who deserve a replye then i delete i dont like keeping an inbox full a mail xxx

i think if a message is worth a reply youl get 1.if we get the fancy a f..k we bin it.no respect so dosnt deserve any back.

any other messages we do reply to..

I'd agree wholeheartedly that it's very frustrating and annoying not getting even a simple "thanks but no thanks" reply.

However, I'm also well aware of the mountain of mail that girls get, much of it from morons who seemingly can't read profiles, or have as much subtlety as I have in my big toe!!

But a problem caused by girls simply deleting large amounts of mail is that us guys don't know whether they've deleted because they're not interested, and therefore will get annoyed themselves if we send again, or some other reason! Although us guys are super clever(!!), we're not mind readers!!

It takes time, but it can be done if you want to.

Some people don't want to for whatever reasons and that is their choice as there isn't a rule to say they have to.

Some of us choose to answer as the person has bothered to write to us in the first place.

If people don't answer, move on to the next one, you will find others that do.

Normally I don't have a problem with it.

I know the amount of mail that flies about in here.

If I get an answer..... BINGO

If not..... no worries move on.

I've been quite lucky my reply's outnumber the ignored ones.

i have to say i know fifeguy and hes a lovely caring guy and i vouch for him 100%...

There have been very good points made here in a lot of responses back to this thread.

But here's my two pennies worth i dont respond half the time due to men and boys sending mail like the rest "when are we going to fuck" but the worse ones are the pre-written mail that gets sent to all its like spamming lol. You can tell esp when the same one comes back a few wks laters lol.

Also it gets on womens tits that men dont read the profiles b4 they send out thier spiel ie Age Limits , if they are shaved or married but we still get the mail from 20 to 25 yr olds.

Well Fifeguy no offence given to you but this is how it is most of the time when guys pester the ladies.

well ive said enough lol

Some of us DO read the profiles( does that make me a perv.....again lol)I Dont send tooo many messages out and in general always geta reply but if I were getting dozens and dozens of unsolicited emails and messages everyday like the couples and girlies get then I would feel like they do that most are just "perv spam". The same message cut and pasted to dozens in the hope that one at least says hi , so in conclusion I never take offence if a messages isnt answered.I can see why
