You should work for MI5, FBI, NSA, CIA or something because I've never heard of someone catching a fake profile so fast, what exactly could you have googled for that you found those fake pics so quickly?

Google search is a great function. Just drag and drop the photo into the search box and see what the results bring up.

I learned how to do it it from that catfish programme that is on sky lol

That's where I learned it aswell, gotta love catfish. It always amazed me how deep some of the people on it got pulled in, loved the ones with happy endings though

I've had it before on here where a fake profile will engage in chat, try to take you onto kik and will invariably try to get your Facebook or Instagram from you.

I'm not trying to scaremonger here but its a standard blackmail scam which originated from when webcams got popular, someone would get chatting to you online and then record you performing for them on webcam, during their chat they'll say they like you and want to keep in touch/will attempt to obtain your Facebook/social media (and thus access to your friends and family's accounts) and then blackmail you with the webcam footage/naked pictures of you for money, orelse they'll share your pics.

It happens all the time on websites like chatroulette, etc. and I based on my experience here I believe it happens here as well. As soon as they asked for my Facebook account on KIK, (especially so quickly) I knew it was a scam. Google-reverse image searched their pics that they sent me and sure enough they showed up on google.

I know of this "scam" because I remember reading an article online of some teenager committing suicide after a blackmail webcam scam on him a couple of years ago. The news stories are still online and on YouTube etc.

Anyway, about 2 months later (which was only 2 months ago) a different account altogether on fab messaged me, we went onto kik and it was the exact same KIK ID that started chatting with me from two months before (I rarely delete old chats) with different pics of the same girl. They had a different backstory this time (I continued a brief chat to humor them just to see how it would go) and again, they tried to get my social media within 10 minutes.

If it's obvious that you won't give them your social media/contact numbers, you'll find the chat dies out fairly quickly.

I reported the account but no one ever got back to me. I've forgotten the usernames now and I've made up a new kik since.

Even on webcam, it's easy to run a pre-recorded video of a female in place of your own webcam which can fool others - ask them to hold up "x" amount of fingers or give you a thumbs up to prove its a live feed.

These things do happen, not saying people aren't aware of these scams but just remember that, as it's maybe a little naive to think they're always just/only on here for time wasting or have nothing better to do.

I know of someone who has gone to the police after being blackmail / threatened with pictures being shown to his workplace. The Internet is a big scary monster and the people that use it can be worse

if you had read what i had put op you would see i didnt direct it towards you so youre obviously a bit touchy but there are plenty of people on here with verifications that are timewasters, some people see a verification as giving them some sort of immunity to be accused of being a timewaster/fake while also giving them the right to accuse people so thats the point i was getting at.

I've just been mailed by a fake and not a very good one

this guy mails me (bells ring) and asks me if I want to him with a local girl (playing away ???)

I ask him about the girl and he starts to get a bit fuzzy (more bells ring)

Some are obviously fake but others not so...

We were messaged by a single fem once with some pics that didn't look right somehow but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. She also had one verification (hidden) Anyway, I thought I'd rumbled a fake and suggested that to 'her' so she offered to go on Skype and not only was she real but rather bloody hot as well! I was left pretty red faced but luckily she forgave me for being a presumptuous arse and we got to meet up with her a few times!

I've encountered countless fakes on here and l I've even had a few situations where there were profiles way too good to be true such as on one occasion when this absolutely stunning blonde contacted me saying that she had wanted to meet ASAP and I even said to her that she was too good to be true but I thought what the hell nothing ventured nothing gained so I went with the flow and she showed up as arranged and boy was I pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to her and what a lovely (and extremely kinky) lass she was despite being absolutely gorgeous so as much as there are many fakes on here there are also some great people and great times to be had if your patient and willing to take a chance every now and again

Too many fakes/pic collectors on here, got blocked by one the other day once they had got my pics, and whats all this about "face pics with first message or delete" you cant guarantee who you are sending your pics to anymore.

And while I am on the subject (rant lol) I know I am bi but ffs is this place is turning into fabguys dot com i reckon 80% guys on here now, even the ones that say they are str8 are bi!

For the record I put bi on my profile because i like bi fun in mmf scenarios, still love pussy tho x

Indeed. I (B) had a profile elsewhere on the internet but I am very real. Just because people's pics show up elsewhere doesn't mean they are fake. Unless you meet them to prove the pics aren't genuine.

Set your message filters to "don't want to hear from newbies" and it will resolve 99% of your problem. Fake people get bored fast, and don't stick around long enough to be able to message.
