I'm in the office, trying to sort some stuff... The iPod is connected and on shuffle.... The Waterboys - Old England , has just come on. I've just involuntary jumped up,with my arms in the air,and went Yess.... Am I losing the plot ? Or does music sometimes lift you ?

I'll reply with a quote... Music is not something I merely create, it's a part of who I am... and poetry isn't just empty words, it is a sneak peek into my soul ~ Lauri Lunzinkski

I guess that means yes music lifts you as does any kind of creativity lol

Music is the only thing that keeps me going sometimes. Love to just pick up the guitar and jam some tunes out! It makes things better!

Depends what it is. when I was able to gym, I used to play rock and prog rock, something with a beat that you can follow as you run, row or cycle. My favourite playlist at the minute though is low key, mellow tunes like Run, Everybody Hurts, and the like; really chills me out, which is a greater priority these days.

Singing along with Roy Orbison as I type. Can't play a note, but really wish that I could.

To my great regret, my musical aspirations in terms of voice, piano and drums were crushed at school by an insistence that such activities should be governed by the requirements of the school's own perceived needs rather than the individual's (religious choral; recorder; CCF band). Bastards!

Anyone need a vocalist?

Dark room, headphones on, turned up loud and listen to dark side of the moon, close your eyes and open your ears and let the music take you on a journey

Music is my escape. I couldn't live without it especially when I need a mood lift.

Nothing better than putting in my earphones and taking the dogs for a long walk
