Stephen House, once Chief Constable of Police Scotland and the guy who takes the rap for the bodies found days after the car crash has resigned after days of promising not to go.

He also led the 'clean up Scotland' campaign against massage parlours, swing clubs and all things fun.

This should have happened a long time ago. He has done a lot of damage in such a short time.

Too PC to be a good PC.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

House has been a disaster for policing in Scotland, but the shambles of his 'reign' also leaves a big question mark over tbe Scottish government's record on justice.

And I can't say I'm over-impressed with the new justice minister, he sounds no better than the arrogant and dogmatic Macaskill.

Scottish government must take a lot of the blame for the arrogance of this guy. They wanted a system run by one force alone and he accepted to do whatever they wanted purely and simply to cut costs and not give a shit for keeping everyone safe !!!

Yet, despite having a perfectly good Police HQ just up the road, he hired an hotel to tender his resignation

he wasn't exactly popular with the rank and file officers but we will never know what political pressure was put on him from wee nippy's party.

I want a strong chief that will stand up for real cops and to resist politicians trying to make cheap points.

Maybe this time we will get one who doesn't need to resort to super injunctions allegedly, to protect himself...

And on the day of House's announcement, although obviously she'd have know it was happening, what did NS have to say?

Waffled about a Scottish tv channel. Ehhhh..........and that's a real priority is it??
