Possibly but may be enclosure means they build up heat so pop more often . LED types are available but more pricey £6-£10 each .

I tried them last time and they did last slightly longer, but only a few weeks

They are probably fitted without a 100 mm gap within the. Ceiling.( overheating) . replace lamps with led lamps as they do not heat up

And led lamps can be bought for as little as 2 quid each

If led lamps are popping I would recommend a periodic inspection ( the equivalent of an mot for a car)

Cutie, leds can't blow, as they are not like normal bulbs. If you have fitted led lamps and they have stopped working best to get your wiring checked. Proper electrician might be able to explain better than me. X

Vibration.

Depending on bulb type the vibration from the room above could damage them. We had capsule bulbs and one blew a week and was told vibrating can damage them.

I have one socket into kitchen that blows the fuse in anything I plug into it. Nothing in the main fuse box blows, just the fuse in anything I plug in?

Sorry ....No disrespect to the OP but i really do think threads like this giving advice could be a pathway too someone causing a fatal accident.

Please do not carry out any advice given .If you hae any Electrical concerns at all. Please contact a Qualified Electrician.

I do understand the OP is trying too help, but too many people like to take things on board themselves and giving advice could potentiaLly be taken wrongly.

Im sure your 26 years service would cease if SJIB were aware of this.

Moderators need ban threads like this before any misleading information causes a fatal accident .

The numbers on my electricity meter keep changing rapidly in an upwards motion causing me to get bills demanding money. How can I stop this as its causing great distress and inconvenience.

Instead of using a 3 Phase 415v Platinuim Vibrator..Why dont you consider a Battery operated one.

Youll still enjoy the same Buzzzzzzzz...

Mr 26 years sparky. I'm looking for a second opinion. I'm questioning work done by a company. 4 heaters install in a garage premises, 2kw each, a dedicated 2.5mm ring main was installed for these. each heater is connected via a 16A blue socket. And at the mains connected via 32a mcb and a 63a rcd The heaters are pulling around 35A on full load. In your opinion is this ok

2000 watts divided by 230 volts. Will give you the amps per heater, so your statement of 35 amps is about correct.. on a ring circuit this is within the regulations, but suprising the heaters are not just on a 13 a plug as this individually fuses each heater. Hope this helps
