Weekend away in the UK

How hard is it to find a decent break away for a few days in the UK? I want to pamper Karen before she goes back to work but it's proving difficult to find something worthy, not looking for proper plush place but somewhere with a nice little spa and relaxing so she can recoup. Most places are either too far (she can't travel for a long period of time in the car right now) or fully booked! Looking for the Thursday until Sunday with a budget of about £500-650 for the hotel too but most seem fully booked because of the school holidays here and down south

Hi John, if you are stuck for hotels, and alternative... what about the Aviemore Lodges, a friend of mine went a while back, they had a jacuzzi in the lodge and he took a little hamper with some of her fav drinks and food and they had a great time.

Just a thought.

Good luck x

Aviemore lodges are fully booked for when we want to go away, we should've booked something earlier but just been run off our feet sadly

We are doing our best woke up to rain but still a glorious day outside so not complaining, might hire a yacht for a few hours and check out the scenery but it's been a while since my old sea legs took a boat out so might just feed the ducks

Have you tried executive cabin's in piperdam. They have your own private hot tub and sauna included, plus the scenery is beautiful.
