I'm in Glasgow this Weds and Thursday. Can anyone recommend good pub or club for a reassuringly rugged 52 yr old guy.

Bit of crumpet thanks for message. I can't reply as I'm age blocked? We went to O Neil's and another Mediterranean type bar. But expensive £10 for two pints of Peronni. We went to a wether spoons nearby and ended up in Katie's bar which I think may have been a gay bar lots of lesbian women I think. It was far too young for us but the beer was 2.50 a pint. We had a bit of a laugh there if I'm honest. Karaoke night. Not the type of night we expected we wanted to talk to some ladies but failed to find any.

The Merchant City isn't cheap, but I reckon it's worth it.

Only place in the city I feel totally comfortable and completely safe in!
