new gilston

Hello folks,

First post in the Scottish forum. And I would just like to share some experiences with you. I have found the Scottish room to be a little too clique, Now some would say that its not but I guess it’s a matter of opinion. I have chatted in this room before but I do think it tends to be one sided. Or if your not in the gang forget it. So folks what happened to the good old fashioned Scottish hospitality. Don’t let the other rooms drag our good name down. Lets be a little more understanding and after all it’s a chat room and its supposed to be fun. Cheers brave

more north lincs than mids!

We don't need other rooms to bring our name down when we have our very own posting threads like this in the forum.

I don't agree that it's cliquey .... it is simply a group of people chatting to each other. The ones you are describing as in a clique are the ones who have built up friendships over a matter of time and therefore are more familiar with each other. You wouldn't walk into a pub and expect everyone to chat to you because you shout "hi!"

You only get out of it what you put in, and by calling regulars a clique isn't a good way to start IMO.

Nor in our opinion.

We were all newbies at one point, we made an effort, others spoke to us. Simple really!

calling regulars a clique, isnt a good way to start, but it is a common way to start.

never be part of a clique.it restricts who you can disagree with.

I agree with the ' you get out of it what you put in' I was in here not long after joining, moaning about people deleting my messages and not replying saying no etc. It took a few people here telling me to get a grip before I realised how daft I was being.

If you go in the Scottish room and shout hi you will get people talking to you guaranteed. I am now taking the site as what it is, an ideal place to meet horny dirty minded folk, but you have to make the effort and understand that maybe some people don't want to chat to you or reply to messages. Mmm have I rambled on here?lol

Angus & Findhorn

I often wonder if people who comment on other people being clique, ever stop and take a second and think, that it may be us... they themselves may be at fault rather than it be others ... they may give off an air of superiority or a constant negative vibe and people just shy away from them.

I know a novel idea that people would self critique before judging others...

I don't go in chat very often but when I do, I am amazed the volume of NEW NAMES CHATTING AWAY.... now if it was truly clique, they wouldn't be and it would just be the longer term regulars.

my 2p worth...

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Clique?

Bollocks.

I'm 300 miles away, only dip in here occasionally, and don't have any girly bits to tempt people with, but am still able to join in and be part of whatever's happening.

And the same is true in the scottish chat rooms too.
