wink etiquette?

Now what's a wink to everyone?....

to me its a "I like your profile,but I'm a bit cagey about messaging"..... "I hope you look at me and like what you see?"

IE an icebreaker.....

If I get a wink, I'll check the profile and provided it's not fucking blank! (Winking from blank profiles, defeats the purpose, but thats another subject)..... if I'm not interested I'll ignore it. If I do like what I see I'll wink back....now this me saying " ok then, you've caught my attention,feel free to message me"....... that sound about right to everyone?

I ask cause its amazing how many will wink, then not follow up if you wink back, 3 months-6months later they're feckin winking again

Definately a way of showing intrest although some just ignore winks entirely and I don't know why ?

some ignore winks because.....

A, they never bother looking at winks and prefer a message...

B, the person winking has clearly not read/ignored the profile of the person they're winking..

thats what i can gather from chats and how i feel anyway

yeah... i agree..... " showing an interest" is the way i see it.... but it baffles me how someone can wink, recieve a wink back and not follow it up?....

unless of course their never going to meet anyone anyway

A wink is an expression of interest...If a wink is not returned, then obviously there is no interest...it's happened to me that way and I accept it as such...

I am new here and I have found winks get you no where. It is nice to send one first to see if you get a reaction but I get distinct feeling no one really bothers with them. I sent out quite a few and lucky to get one bk. Yes I know it might be cause I'm new I get that ??

Plenty of people have said above its an expression of interest, if you get nothing back there not interested, so plenty folk do look at who has winked them.

Yea after sending quite a few winks and getting 0 I think it's more people just not bothering really. I'm no Tom cruise or the most intellectual. But cmon think I have sent quite a few and nothing. I get it not everyone's for you lol I get more response from a message with a picture
