Giffnock

We are looking for a wee Saturday drive up the west coast "through villages and towns"

any recommendations on places to stay / bars / eateries !!

Cologin is a lovely wee place with the barn open to non-residents for meals and the bar. Not too expensive and their chalets are clean, cosy and comfy!

I live in oban - depends how much you want to spend?

There's the oyster inn at connel village before you get in to oban,nice food and a nice wee traditional pub with coal fire ect or there's Eusk fish restuarant on the north pier in oban which is outstanding but a bit pricey! - if I was to suggest somewhere I'd say the regent hotel or the caledonia hotel overlooking oban bay or if your not too fussed about a view there's the royal hotel in the town center

Also bar Rio on the north pier is nice, good food and cocktails
