Disagree with all of the above.

Doesn't matter what safeguards you put in place before a meet. People can cancel or not turn up at the last minute for any reason - or none at all.

We've had a few cancelled in the past, for legit reasons, even as we've been locking the front door, and some that just either fell off the radar or disappeared altogether. All of which we'd met socially before hand. What better safeguard?

So there is nothing full proof out there. I'm my opinion. It's just part of the deal on here and I suppose with any dating/ hook up site.

If there's anything to go by, go with your gut.

Its not bragging its simply a fact that many folk dont suffer from these apparent multitude of timewasters I chat for weeks exchange pics (face) exchange phone no eventually arrange a non sex meet if anything happens it does if not had a pleasant day in company no gloating in my experiance this works if I just fancied a shag I would go to my local night club im here for slightly more

Not bragging, but I have never had a timewaster either - like kolakubes (pardon the spelling if its wrong) above, I chat on here for ages, swap face pics, and take it slowly.

Its very rare I will give out my mobile number before a meet is arranged as I think the online chat here is adequate.

As of yet, in all the meets, I have yet to be stood up - had one fella cancel the morning of a meet, so no waste of time there, but his excuse was poor, so no re-arranging either.

I don't cam, and don't phone, but do chat for ages.

I'm meeting a couple soon and we have been chatting for about 5 months now (distance is an issue there too) and many of my other meets have been after months of chat - and always a social first.

If you do get loads of timewasters, take a step back and think about why. Rushed meets are often the biggest reason, or meets arranged late at weekends when people are d*unk/horny/bored seem to be prone to cancelling too from what I have heard and read of others.

In fairness all the gut instinct and intuition in the world won't help if someone's kids are ill, babysitter issues occur or real life gets on the way.

Agree Numpties can be filtered out, but to a certain extent the occasional blip is just luck of the draw.

Consistent no shows may require a review if the selection criteria though.

but if these folk have home troubles or life gets in the way they aint timewasters and if you have spent time building a rappor then you would know this as they would explain its slightly diffrent from what is being alluded to 4 meets (probably 4 diffrent folk) none showing that has to come down to the persons meet criteria imo

Ehhhhh....woah there cheeky boy; two different peoples opinions here. (We're a couple), read them through until they've been signed off.

My point (B) is that although we have done what all the beautiful people have clearly done and built up rappor, relationship, called, met in person yada yada; we have still had a couple of people who have just not turned up or showed for no reason, explanation or indeed heard from again.

We have also, as D mentioned and what I was also getting at initially, had those who have cancelled, still last minute (which others may put into the category that the OP is talking about) but with valid reason.

So, again, my main point is no situation is completely full proof, no matter what safe guards you put in place. Anyone can cancel or not show.

If you've a clean sheet, as it were, then you've frankly just been lucky (and all the best to you for that).

the 4 are 2 females and 2 couples m//f the 2 females deleted there profiles due to the fuckn idiots calling them degrading names . 1 couple said they couldnt do it as the m of the relationship said he didn't think he could handle it(fair enough) and the other couple it was just a no show at all no word nothing .So I'm looking at a wide search as this is the point of the site RIGHT OR WRONG ???

We're all imperfect humans living in an imperfect world, things will always happen, go wrong.

However, there's a difference between someone who simply doesn't turn up and with no communication, and the person who has something crop up at the last minute in their real world, and communicates even although it might be last minute. Further, the genuine cancellations usually turn out to simply be postponements.

And of course there are also the bottlers, but if they communicate even at the last minute, at least they're being honest.

Just my tuppence worth.
