Any suggestions on hotles in Avimore preferably close to the train station.

Would recommend MacDonald as well. Get a lodge for a couple nights.

Cairngorm Hotel is right opposite the train station. Absolutely beautiful hotel.

MacDonald resort is split into 3 different hotels. So check carefully which one you are picking as one is so out of date it's not great.

Hilton at Colymnbridge is very nice too,

Would also recommend the Cairngorm. Couldn't get any closer to the train station and the rooms are good.

I used late rooms last year. Was up fishing. Planned staying one night but ended up two nights. First night pre booked macdaonal avimore through late rooms. Ok room. But more like travel lodge room. Second night booked after 5 same hotel same price and got room in themore uup market block of the hotel.

If you got the bottle leave it late as you can unless it's going to be busy
