Right been gifted, yeah right, with the task of a family meal next week for about 12 of us, can anyone recommend a nice place to eat, dont go mad and say Peat inn or anything really posh, but we do love good food.Any ideas really appreciated.

ps its ma birfday so gifts money and tokens and ladies panties greedily accepted next week pmsl. Greig

keavil house good to not to dear ruffly 30 quid a head but the food is so good and serives is great

i like the mexican up at duloch park in dunfermline near the cinema

balgeddie house hotel in glenrothes

woke and spice in glenrothes!!!!! take emm at lunch time for the buffet

fettykilfox if u phone them they will put a table together for u

what about the little thai place in St Andrews? nham jim's, it's very reasonable and they will put tables together for you, had a couple of birthday meals there and a mothers day meal in their sister chinese restaurant too. xxx

i like also the kingswood hotel in burntislands and the _iew over the forth is amazing and there gardens and wood land area is outstand serives is great and it down to earth bristish food and isnt to dear think it worked out for per head last time 27 quid

Good shout Laine, also, The Gateside Inn between Auchtermuchty and Milnathort and The Well at Scotlandwell. Although not been for a wee while, but it has had a good rep for years.

Dundee may be a bit far, but the Agacan on the Perth Rd is fab. Very small, maybe seats 14 so you would have the entire restauarant.

also the But and Ben in Auchmithie (near Fugyland )is fantastic

For just the lovely location, Orroco Pier at south Queensferry takes some beating, cracking _iews of the bridges etc.

yes this is the best _iew from any resturant that i have been in.but i dont know what the food is like as i was there doing a survey of there internal pipework. but i can say the kitchens are spotless.

If you eat in the main restaurant at Champanies, the steak is £57.95 each as they raise there own cattle.

I think thats a bit steep.
