Police are investigating after Conservative and Labour party offices were vandalised in Aberdeen.

A swastika sign, the word "scum" and a letter Q standing for "quisling", or traitor, were painted on the front of the Conservative offices in the city's West Mount Street.

Tory councillor for Hazlehead Ross Thomson, who is also the party's candidate for the Aberdeen South constituency, posted a picture of the graffiti on Twitter on Saturday morning.

Scottish Labour's office in nearby Rosemount Place also had a large Q painted on the door.

And you don't think you aren't being patronising? We were told last year we were better together, yet now those same politicians seem to have forgotten the why now. And pardon me if I'm being a bit thick, but what has the police having to carry guns got to do with it? Incidentally, I've not seen any police officer carrying guns in Fife. I'm not a card carrying SNP supporter. In fact, as the daughter of an ex miner and a staunch trade unionist in my day, I should be a die hard Labour member. I'm not. I am a Scot who loves her country, her history and her people and only wants what best for her. That does not make me deluded.

All the years of SNP rule???

That's good, compared to all the years of Labour domination of the Scottish political landscape. Quite a few labour dominated council areas are home to some of the highest instances poverty in the UK.

Nicola says if you heard her right she says there is no plans for a referendum and it would only change if and i mean if the people of scotland wanted it and as the SNP wouldnt it be wrong of them if they didnt listen to the people if the people wanted another one. This is not about referendum this is about who you want in charge at westminster the scottish elections are in 2016 so hold your horses cause the referendum might not be on the cards in 2016

The SNP are in the position that the Lib Dems were before the last election. Basically they know they won't win (obviously given the size of their electorate) so they can promise everything except free ice cream every day. They are criticising the current UK government for the deficit but then saying they will borrow over £160 billion, ramping the deficit up which is economic madness. They don't have an economic policy they are just trying to appeal to those who oppose benefit cuts etc. Unfortunately people with no idea of economics will buy into this and hope for some utopian socialist future.

SNP and their fondness for accusations of Quisling.

The First Minister acted after Sky’s Political Editor Faisal Islam claimed that an independence supporter had questioned his suitability for reporting on the rally because he was not Scottish.

"Islam’s claim, which was made on Twitter, was accompanied by a similar complaint by his Scottish Sky colleague Niall Paterson, who said he had been described as a “quisling p****” by a Yes activist while covering the referendum last year........"

General election seems to bringing about the same tactics that were used in the independence vote. Business coming out siding with whowever is going to be good for them not the country and others with smear campaigns. Seemed to work the last time lets do it again attitude. About time all parties came out and told us what they truthfully had to offer not telling us what might happen if other paries get in. Facts not opinions would be nice from the media and politicians.

"Yet another typical Onny post..... Looking to blame the SNP for anything going .... Tune in next week for Onny blaming the SNP for the weather being too cold/wet/warm or dry !!! Why don't the Labour Party and their supporters try and say something positive about themselves, as opposed to resorting back to "project fear" and "weaponising" campaign tactics ?? "

I was reading a blog by an ardent nationalist and he claims it is the work of the security services.

Seems that after the success by MI5 last year in fixing the referendum they are doing the same with the general election.

"Police are investigating after Conservative and Labour party offices were vandalised in Aberdeen.

Ok there is no evidence that this was anyone from SNP could have been anyone.

But today there has been evidence Labour are lying to the people Jim Murphy says there will be no cuts yet the leader of Labour has said there will have to be cuts so are Labour really the New Labour as they sound more like the Tories

If it was a political motivated piece of vadalisim it would not be a ANP supporter because there is no evidence.

It could not be the greens as it was not water soluble paint it was the nasty oil based stuff.

So who are we left with ???

As it was a swastika and the a Q for quisling it clearly points at a Nazi Norweigen !!!! case closed !!!!

Can I play devils advocate here for a moment and ask the SNP fans a question. Given a lot of the Yes voters are staunchly against Trident and it's being placed in Scotland, will you feel let down or sold out by Nicola Sturgeon if Labour wins and she forms a coalition with them as they've stated that Trident won't be going anywhere and will probably be renewed.

It's hypothetical at the moment I know but I just wondered how those SNP members against Trident would feel about the SNP compromising their principles like that.

S- here i would say no because i cant honestly see a coalition happening if SNP gets the seats these polls are saying they will get then its Labour that will need SNP help and its more likely to be a deal by deal and i would say Trident will be the top of SNP list to get rid of it.

"The SNP are in the position that the Lib Dems were before the last election.

The below quote sums it up for me perfectly. I have no idea nor care what Gray's politics are but she is bang on the money here.

“Politics is now like a religion in Scotland,” says Muriel Gray, the Scottish writer. “It used to be debateable and enthralling. Now it is tribal, identity politics, for us or against us. Tragic.”

It was a nationalist who said "The most brilliant propaganda technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind.It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over".

Then listen to "Fair and just" being rammed down our throats ..."Bairns not bombs".....and "Anti -austerity".. are we Scots really so naive as to believe this propaganda as other countries did .

We do not have segregated schools in Scotland, that is a complete fallacy. Public schools, very often incorrectly tagged "Protestant Schools"are non-denominational. Roman Catholic schools also accept admissions from pupils who are not RC...having attended an RC school myself and having had Muslim, Sikh and Bhuddist friends I know this to be fact. Parents should have the right if they so choose to send their children to faith based or non faith based schools and the utter myth that separate schools breed religious intolerance is a very tired old chestnut!

Its only a tired old chestnut because one side refuses to accepts their "could be an issue here". It is not even up for debate by one side.

Kids of a different faith attending these schools do not have their faith catered for in religious teaching.

Imagine we had black and white schools but its great because the black school also accepts brown and yellow kids. Madness

If we dont have segregated schools why do we have shared campus's springing up (with crazy conditions demanded) all over the place.

When you separate kids at the age of 5 it by its very nature breeds division.

Schools are for learning. Kids of every creed, colour or religion should be taught together.

Churches / Chapels etc for religion.

No doubt I will be labelled a bigot for pointing this out.

Maybe if politicians grew a set we could move into real world. Problem is too many vote from the pulpit.

This post was ill-informed to begin with. It then plumbed depths that most cavers / divers will never reach - a political fracking by the desperate and despicable.

No time for zealots

No time for bigots

No time for fools

Time for Scots to work together and to be the best that we can be - and to leave a legacy that befits honest, creative and inventive folk - and supports people when they need a bit of help.
