Best heading down to ayrshire. Some great value courses.

The municipal courses in troon are good courses but there's loads to choose from all across ayrshire and most are reasonably priced.

Try Aberfoyle great 18 hole course around 45 minutes drive north of Glasgow it us a challenge for the low to high handicap golfer. Few facilities but a good game is to be had.

It really depends where you want to go to play or whether you just want to stay local ...good deals on municipals but quite plain courses

For all the prices try a Tourist information area office as they used to have the free golf magazine that lists all the prices and courses in Scotland x
