Ok so all excited for my checkup with the midwife.

My question is when around do you get to hear the heart beat and can you request to hear it?

Totally non-fab question sorry all

You can hear it at the 12 week ultrasound if you ask. And I think from the 16wk check onwards with midwife.

It depends how far on you are. You can hear it at most anti natal appointments and it's all part of the usual checks!

If i remember rightly im sure i heard mine loud and clear at my 18 week appointment. Just ask im sure they get it all the time xx

Of course you could! Any midwife appointment I went to they always listened in. It sounds like a galloping horse,twice the speed of yours! Xx

Haha yeah it's a strange sound but heart warming isn't it can still hear my 2 girls hear beats it was amazing!

I remember hearing my wee boys heart beating, but seeing it beat at the 20 week scan was most definitely one of the best moments of my life. A tiny glimpse of what was to come. Congratulations Miss Vixen 3

its tomorrow my midwife appointment lol only realised this while half way there in the car.
