I now officially hate mondays.

so had arranged to meet someone today for coffee and chat, spent all morning having a glorious bath and picking out what to wear.

I then get a call from my son's nursery to come collect him 20mins before I'm due to meet.

chicken pox!!

thankfully my kids ok just spotty and thankfully my meet was understanding and didn't think I had chickened (no pun intended) out at the last moment.

At least he said he did see me when he drove past so I do exist and do look like my pic. Lol!!

anyone else had such a disaster on a first meet?...x

When I 1st came on Fab I had a meet arranged and due to my car being in the garage decided to take the train. I literally stepped off the train at her station then got a call from her saying she had to cancel because her wee one had to come home from school because he was ill.

I did however have plenty of great meets with her at a later date so all wasn't bad.

When you or your meet has kids these things have to be expected.

Might seem like bad luck, but there's some good luck too, in that chicken pox in adults is worse. If they have to get it, it's better as a child, so it's out the way.

And some luck in that the guy you met didn't start to get abusive that you cancelled.

I had arranged to meet a couple and when the doorbell rang I opened the door expecting them but it was my daughter with her 2 kids. I of course was dressed appropriately for the meet so started to panic. The doorbell rang about 5 minutes later with the expected couple ready to meet. I had to make a very hurried explanation to them as to what had happened and then go back in and tell my daughter it was jahovah witnesses.

Fortunately we have met on a couple of occasions since and still laugh about it.

yeah he was a bit of a nutter. Delightful language and full of insults. I think it pissed him off that I didn't pander to him.

I reported him so can't see his page, either admin has suspended him or he's blocked me. Got help the next person that he tries to message.

thanks, my son's doing ok so far, can't see my work being too impressed but hey that's their problem.

Xx

When I was with my ex we had a single bi female on her way over to ours one night. She called to say she was just setting off, should have taken maybe 30 min to get to my place. . An hour later and she still wasn't here so we called her.

She had broken down on the way over and was awaiting the RAC to rescue her. . . . Apparently all she had on was a long coat, hold ups and heels!

We met her a few times afterwards and always had a laugh at the fact she struggled to act normally when the dishy recovery man arrived !
