Glasgow

Considering a move to Glasgow in part as hoping go back to uni but also jobs etc. Would prefer city centre if poss but willing to look slightly outside this but hope to keep transport costs down (don't drive). It'd be Strathclyde uni.

Thing is I dunno where are the OK places to live, can anyone from there give me some hints?

For Strathclyde, Dennistoun is worth considering.

Depends on your budget, a lot of great places around the westend close to bottom of sauchiehall street, but they can be pricey. Then there's the southside just over the river as well but not as much personal experience other than visiting friends in the past.

Maybe have a look for flats that suit you distance, size and price wise then give us a general list of areas to yay or nay from that? Good and bad bits everywhere tbh x

If you’re going to be a student then you probably want to be within walking distance of your uni. Which means that it kinda depends which university you’ll be at.

(Generally, Glasgow is a lovely place. Promise we will look after you.)

Glasgow IIS great!

Come! You'll love it!

Like all cities, it has good areas and bad.

Definitely recommend Southside and Westend, but even within that, good bits and bad.

Research!

But come!

I love Glasgow and was born there. It would be Strathclyde uni but I'm 42 and have a teen daughter. So don't want anywhere rough (and yes I know I'm in Greenock but I'm in a nice bit) and obvs want good school for her too.
