No you can't ever be too clean and tidy, but you can be too obsessed about it. I have OCD but I'm trying to break the cycle. I know I have 2 cups and a glass in my kitchen sink that need washed, but I'm trying to leave them until later to wash them.

I do too. Only really with cleanliness, smudges are the worst I can't leave a smudge on mirrors or glass items, stainless steel. Very annoying can't settle until I clean it.

I wish I had a little bit of OCD. I have a heavy dose of CBA.

I was all way tidy but on my own I think it's got to the worry stage. Some days I hover dust two or three times a day. I have the washing on all most every day. As soon as I can't smell the conditioner on the bed sheets there washed. I clean my cooker every day. Oven once a week even if it's not used. The list is just go's on and on and I clean my hands and bathroom more times than I go lol

Very true it can be anything from checking doors locked to hand cleaning or arranging this in cupboard .

"Things oops "

I like all my items to be grouped together with labels facing lol makes finiding things so much easier. Flowers, fresh pot pourri n full plug ins before anyone comes to my house too. I have a cleaning routine before anyone can come to my house family and friends. Tried to not do it but then annoys me and I go about doing it when they are in which annoys my visitors lol

OCD tendencies can be exacerbated when the sufferer has anxieties +/- a lot of time without other day to day distractions for it to manifest.

OCD can start at any time of your life - sometimes it can be due to trauma (however big or small) can set it off.

One thing I simply lack in is time.

They say that everyone has a bit of OCD in them. It's all a case of you controlling it, and not letting it control you.

I have to bite my front door key after I've locked the door so I know I've done it. Little things no one really notices. All doors have to be shut in the house, labels all forward in cupboard, I drain knives forks and spoons in different compartments, laundry is hung up by matching pegs, ie a t shirt with 2 blue pegs the same style, and all size arranged....

I have OCD about where I eat. It's worse when im stressed. Most people develop it as a unconscious way of regaining control if there's been a bad experience or situation. My parents were alcoholics so my not being able to eat in many places stems from that. Often it has no logic to it. I won't do cafés or many pubs. Even some of my friends houses I won't eat in. Can't do macDonalds etc. I struggle when on holiday too. I had my own plate and cutlery at my grans house growing up. Even though she was my little sanctuary. I can do greggs sometimes but only certain ones. Probably because my gran would take me there as a treat. I can't and never have been able to eat off the plates or drink out the glasses in anywhere I've worked and as a result have a stash of plastic cutlery. Some look at me like I'm a freak or a drama queen. Some think I'm just hard work. My ex husband didn't get it at all which often made me worse. However it's become routine for me. and my friends no longer question or get offended. They buy me pre packed salad and hand me a plastic fork instead. So no its not just cleaning was my point x
