How to organise a social

Hi guys welcome all I'm new to aberdeen area and I would like to have a social event but have know idea how to get one off the ground iv posted in the past in the forums and put up meets but had no interest. Am I missing something or doing something wrong and help and advice would be greatfully taken on board.

pick a date book a venue then post it on the forums.

Decide what kinda social you want...casual drinks, or venue/disco or meal kinda thing.....

Work out costings if there's any depending on type of social.

Get a forum post going and take names and payments.

But remember if 50/60 say they are going chances are only 15/20 .

I would become established on the forums, get to be known and then post...

I have seen a few events that monies are sent to someone and then, upset when they offski with the cash...
