How accurate is the fab distance marker on where your friends are ie it says 5-10miles from my location and 5-10mins away is this fairly accurate ?

Ok thks i thot so its just i hav a friend who lives a good bit away but was showing they wer here in glasgow altho they say the wer not here lol so just checking ?

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

You also have to remember that it doesnt give your exact location only approximate distance but could be out by as much as 2/3 miles away

The distance is calculated by using your postcode details when you log in with the desktop version of the site and is generally 'as the crow flies'.

The mobile version triangulates your location to a non specific area, and then calculates the distance between the two locations.
