Me and the future Mrs. Angeli are going to be having a look at a few wedding venues this weekend and I wondered if church weddings are still the most popular or have any fab couples (or anyone you know) gotten married anywhere different or unusual?

Bogbain Farm, outside Inverness, does a great day. Quite a trek from Livvy though.

To be honest, J is from a good catholic Glaswegian family originally so there are hundreds of them! We did a quick count yesterday and it's looking like about 120 during the day :-/

"Eastwood house x "

That's where i got hitched!

Lovely grounds etc, but didn't like the lounge / bar being separated from the dance floor.

Two of my mates have had/are having their nuptials there, neither religious. Supposed to be fantastic. Missed the first one through ill health but everyone raved about it. There's Newbattle Abbey Chapel if you wanted a wee religious service before heading somewhere else for the meal/knees up. It's in stunning grounds and would make for great photos.

Or you could do something completely different and go for a hand fasting? You can get 2 options, one being legal so a marriage in the eyes of the law.

Better late than never lol. Hope you both have a great day wherever you decide on. Congratulations! S&Mx

West Dunbartonshire

good luck I have a friend looking at venues and costing it all and its a fortune so I wish you well. On a funny note Mr J and I will be celebrtaing our 30th Anniversary in 2 years and I said to him yesterday we could go to Vegas and ask Elvis to renew our vows for us. The cheeky bugger replied I dunno if I would say yes again. Needless to say I gave him a thump so if you dont see him about for a while you know why haha Mrs K xxx

The Lodge on Loch Lomond, it has a wedding suite detached from the hotel with rooms for most of the guests and the wedding room overlooks the Loch, very nice

We are looking for a venue too, but our problem is that it has to be humanist and only about four guests and all the potential venues are just too big!
