whats the best treatment for grass right now, what will enhance a wonderful green lawn in spring & summer?

I wouldn't treat a lawn until mid March. Regular mowing and rolling helps encourage new growth.

andy, are there no fertilisers or soil improvement stuff I can put on/spray on / sprinkle on?

grass doesn't grow till its 5degrees... as andy said wait till march when its warmer, then yer grass food will work

There are loads but head to the garden centre mid March for better advice. I get mine from a supplier who grows turf commercially

put phostrogen lawn feed on,not feed and ,lift the blades about an inch on your mower and encouraged the lawn to resead itself.remember only phostrogen,nothing else

I would need to ask the gardener, as I have active fingers but not green... have to say I have amazing grass so not sure what he does apart from cuts with petrol mower, then goes over with a manual mower; looks mad and not small but he swears by always giving second cut!!!
