Just wanted to put out a big ty to all our guys and gals doing a very difficult and often unnapreciated job overseas in light of todays date. I for one remember it vividly as im sure most here do - dont ever forget and get behind our armed forces - the life u enjoy is down to them.

As always my 2 cents,tc

Bloo

The armed forces? Wasn't the army that was first in attendance at the towers as I recall.

Might not have been the armed forces first on the scene at 9/11, but since that day they've been doing the job most of the police and firemen won't or couldn't do, but equally, sometimes there are jobs that the armed forces couldn't do that the emergency services have to do.

I for 1 couldn;t tell someone that theyre Son/Daughter had been killed by a d*unk/drug driver...

Might not have been our armed forces on the scene but in a roundabout way 9/11 is the reason our troops were and are in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And they are going out to face bombs and bullets on a daily basis.I for one hate when the alarm goes off in the morning and I have to get up for work but cant imagine what it would be like to go and face that every day.

God bless them and keep them safe.

I will never forget that day; I have the greatest respect for all the men and women in the armed forces, who watch over us all, and put there life on the line, so we may live the way we do.

Many thanks.

Remember it so clearly too,and the instant fear that spread worldwide, all planes grounded untill the risk of other attacks were eliminated etc.

was going to second what xix wrote - the epic pictures you see arent of the armed forces running into a building when everyone else is running away - absoulutely no disrespect to the armed forces (they do a fantastic job). And the picture im on about is firefighters running towards the twin towers. just felt like putting that in becuase 9/11 was significant for the fireservice and police over there. just saying

" And the picture im on about is firefighters running towards the twin towers."

That's the same image burned n both mine and the mrs memory. The same guys who are now dropping like flies as they are riddled with some very strange cancers from god knows what they inhaled at the job.

,

This line most definatly includes all the brave firefighters who ran towards the 2 towers whilst everyone else was running in othe direction, every fiber in thier body must have been fighting the natural instinct to stop and head in same direction as everyone else.
