Hey folks new to the scene and looking to chat to ladies whilst offshore keep me occupied and share some messages pics etc and who knows perhaps a meet with the right person/people ,anyways thanks for reading my post feel free to browse my profile and hope to hear from some ladies soon xx

Yep just found it but you have to be a site supporter to use it so will have to wait till I get back onshore to subscribe again using text as don't get a signal out here only wifi

Read in the news that you offshore riggers are going on strike, I thought you all got paid very highly

It's not to do with wages mate it's moving our contracts from 2 and 2 to 3 and 3 a lot of wage cuts and pay offs due to the price of oil declining over the last few months now oil companies panicking

Yeah sorry never made that clear yeah we work 2 weeks on 2 off but to make cuts and save money companies are trying to make us do 3 weeks on 3 weeks off to reduce amount of flying per year to save money on flights etc , loads of married guys out here but also a lot of divorced guys as a lot of marriages don't work with to much time to yourself . But you get 2 weeks of quality time at home and including holidays you only work 5 months of the year when you break it down so not a bad life

You miss a lot but pays the bills so can't complain plenty people sitting in the house with no income so should think ourselves fortunate really just annoying when the oil companies screw you over again and again because when the oil price goes up we won't go back to 2 and 2 they will keep us what we are save more money and the boys that took the pay cut to keep there job will have to fight hard to get there money back

Total agreement with you there.

I'm still on 2 / 2 with my holidays to but just waiting for the bombshell.

East of Shetland platforms will probably end up 4 / 2 if we go 3 / 3 because of the usual delays in Scatsta.

Not good at all.

sounds like you have already accepted 3/3, I have read UNITE are balloting their offshore members and the majority will strike before accepting, sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in

Yeah we have been told it's inevitable we are going 3 and 3 we are just waiting on the new terms ,not the end of the world I suppose but if they go on strike I will be with them 100%

I have a few mates work offshore and looked at doing it myself

They are currently 4 and 4, both have been for quite sometime

Two of my best mates work 4and4.

One is currently abroad in Dubai the other the North Sea. However that changes from time to time.

One in Dubai was off the Faroese this time last year and the one on the North Sea was in the Phillipines

Both are married men and one has a pre school kid. Works well for both of them
