nasty bugs

I'm so fed up. Chocked with the cold. Feel freezing but temperature says the house is warm. All by myself. Throughly fed up. Moan over.

More constructively, anyone know any decent cures? I can't take decongestants

Chicken soup is good for inflammation of the lungs and also relieves congestion.

Also fresh fruit,vitamin c,garlic and echinacea while not an immediate fix,if included in your diet regularly helps boost the immune system and lessens the time it takes to recover

The job boosts the immune system lol. Just unfortunate I caught the cold when I've a full on weekend coming up. Trying a bath with ginger, Epsom salts, essential oils, baking powder. If nothing else I'll smell weird tonight lol

Have a regular tipple also,some people think alcohol (in moderation!) can also strengthen the immune system

Menthol Chrystals in a pyrex bowl near boiling water and a towel and steam your self under the towel Always works for me .

I work within the hotel industry, front line and work with hotel guests a lot, appearance is everything as is a fresh healthy front; at the first sign of a cold or if any office staff have a cold, I go straight onto Amoxicillin.

Wait a minute people will say; "Antibiotics don't work on colds"

That all depends what strain the cold is, whether it is bacterial or viral and it is a lengthily process for doctors to test for, plus antibiotics COST MONEY!! that's why you don't get them for a cold or flu.

BUT!!!!!!

If you have no spleen, or if you have an other immune system deficiency then you are put on antibiotics straight away from your doctor,

SO???

do they work, or don't they work? I haven't had a cold for 4 years due to antibiotics at first onset, they work for me, even although we are all told they don't work.
