With the imminent release of the movie 50 shades of grey was having a discussion about how far up the grey scale each of us were, with 50 being one lashing away from a jail sentence and 0 being an angel of the highest purity

So after some discussion we agreed I was a 14 on the fifty shades scale,

where do you think you fit?

In my mind a lot of BDSM is mental stimulation. Using the all of the senses. Building anticipation. It's trust and an openness to explore and let go.

sadly stuff like that is hard to portray in an image or a film.

It's the reactions. The little touches that give you goose bumps to give and recieve. It's the thrill of the not knowing what's next and the thought that goes on behind it. The care and often a lot of attention to detail. Fabrics or music or smells or tastes and how these can become heightened. It could for some be a science. It's certainly not all whips and chains.

As has been said it's about what particular kinks you're into and not just about beating someone until they bleed...so any number is relative to what each person thinks.
