Prayer for the Children:

Almighty God, full of Mercy remember the generation of Jewish children that were reared for slaughter. Reared for slaughter. Remember the multitudes of children, who in their short lives never experienced joy, knowing only hunger, deprivation and fear. Almighty God, open our hearts to the plight of the deprived and hungry children of today. By helping them, we shall keep the memory of the perished alive. Amen.

~~o0o~~

My family follows no religion. Its newest member, however, has a Hebrew name. Today, I remember all those children and adults who died because they shared his name and the millions who perished with them. We must never forget....

Sad but beautiful poem.

In these very troubled times, i thank you for these beautiful words and may we all learn to live with other peoples beliefs , i despair at the "hate" some people have for those "different" from themselves. xx

And it's maybe apt, to remember mothers who in more recent times, have lost a child. It surely must be a mother's worst nightmate! Thinking of you today. xxx
