Strathclyde Country Park will teach you sailing, its an accredited RYA centre.

And the many car parks around it will teach you about sex in the evenings as they're accredited DOGGING centre's.

Not the best idea to mention dogging sites in forums as they wont be dogging sites for long in this case

Port Edgar centre at South Queensferry or ther is a place down at North Berwick as well. Im pretty sure that if you were to google boat clubs/dinghy sailing youd find somewhere handy although its not cheap!

Hi guys

Sailing........

I personally have an RYA licence and start classes next week to become a Day Skipper.

Planning to operate a charter boat in the Clyde if I can get financial backing to back my venture.

The Duran Duran boat is called "Drum" and regularly does trips around the Clyde. I have been out on a number of occasions as a guest of Arnold Clark and even taken the wheel on a couple of occasions, expensive to book but good day out.

If you wish to learn then try a company called Seaforce out at the Tall Ship.

They have a website. They teach beginners right up to experts.

Someone described a yacht as a hole in the water you pour money into.

Great way to relax-although if Mrs knew how much it really cost, she'd have kittens, lol.

We're very fortunate around the Clyde to have some great locations, pubs etc.

Thanks Everyone For All Your Help !!

The Strathclyde Park Idea Scares Us - As We Got Surrounded By Cops One Night in our car Eating FISH SUPPERS !! lol

Yes, just the fish n chips variety from takeaway shops !! lol

The cost of some places to learn sailing is quite staggering !!!

now if we could just get the doctor to prescribe us some sailing therapy lol

Thanks again everyone - and beware of the strathclye park recommendations lol

Taking a fish supper with you when going dogging is a tried and tested idea. If the cops give you grief just point to the empty wrappers and dare them to take the matter further.

It'll be a sad day for tourism in Scotland when people aren't allowed to sit at a local beauty spot enjoying our national dish.

Being sent sailing is probably the new-fangled 'punishment' for certain forms of anti-social behaviour.

Lol - The police said sorry and left us alone after approx 20 seconds - but didnt half scare the crap out of us !! and it wasnt really that dark !!

Think it was the glass bottle of irn-bru on the dashboard that either made them think we were doggers and then it made them realise we actually were eating fish and chips lolol
