We got a Caribbean cruise on a late deal once, never fancied it but thought we'd give it a go and now that's all we do. No airports, no queues, no hassle and a different port everyday. Love em x

IMO hotel 1st, then cruise, that way you have something to look forward to if you've not cruised before. The ship will also probably be so much better than the hotel.

Ive heard that you get so spoiled on the cruise so if you do the cruise then the stay its a bit of a let down going to a hotel

Take plenty Amoxicillin or another antibiotic, if anything breaks out on a cruise ship you have no where to run and plenty reports of this over the past 10 years, hope you enjoy the cruise

I prefer road trips usa.

Absolutely love cruising, dont go with any of the smaller operators like Island, ive cruised woth Princess and Royal Caribbean both fantastic, staff are out of this world and you get to wake up somewhere different every morning and these ships have so many facilities you wont get bored.

Id recommend a baltic or med cruise for your first time.

They just dont compare with RCI, thomsons is like Butlins at sea while RCI is five star luxury while maintaining relaxed friendly atmosphere and about the same price.

we did a 7 night cruise n 7 night stay from Phuket to Singapore and back thro the straights of Mallacca, a few years back. we loved every minute of the cruise, but the hotel was a bit of a letdown after the luxury of the ship.

took my family on an Eastern European cruise with MSC. Fantastic ship and visited fab places. The ship had over 3000 people on board which at times felt crowded. We got the drinkd package which id recommend. In all we had a great time but not relaxing. Id do the week on and a week to recover. Hope this helps. Anything else just ask. X
