Am I the only one to shake my head at the lack of discretion in the forums ....is it just me that thinks it lacks at times or am I just extra discrete?

Is it s lost art? I just think with so many that fall out and with the politics that the forums and site brings it doesn't take much for someone to take the hump and you can imagine the rest...or am I just extra cautious?

I'm with you on this one. I keep myself very private on this site. And respect the same of others. Like it or not there is always a chance of feelings when playing and to that end always a risk of someone getting hurt.

However I would say for the most part the forum is a bit of banter and rarely any malice intended. Like most things on here it shouldnt be taken seriously X

Yeah sometimes discretion does go out the window on the forum's

But in saying that a bit of light hearted flirting is good makes it fun

But I tend to block aggressive posters negative posters also. if I can't react with them through a forum.

I'm definitely not going to arrange to meet them & falsely kid on I'm their best friend

some have no idea about discretion but its not just on the forums but status updates and chat too

Think the worst aspect is the drama that goes on in the background, and sometimes spills over into the forum. Totally unnecessary, and lacking in discretion.

I get ya but the likes of us who don't know the dramas that go on we are kinda oblivious so a lot ....we see some things but no real idea what's what....lol

Once upon a time on our last profile we were a lot more involved but now days we are so outa lol drama wise

Phew, just checked & were not blocked.

We always try to be discrete, we may however get a bit overexcited at times, like kids in a sweetie shop

We don't know enough of the inner sanctum secrets to know what dramas are going, best that way.

Always makes me giggle when you see the flirting on the forums

All great for a few weeks then it's we are a cpl now so not looking for single guys but single fems are cool ... Fast forward a few weeks back playing as a single and bickering on the forum lol

Because it is a free site it attracts the muppets who steal pics and profiles so been sensible with your information its a must and that of others.

lets face it no one wants to spread all over the sunday rags because some wank hack reporter had nothing better to do than lie his or her way through the site gaining trust to create a story. Neither do you want your pics or profile used to lure someone into something that is not genuine sad times but reality

if I was a journalist, it is rather easy these days to get access to swinging activities.

it's only a matter of time before there is another expose, because people can't hold their water or publish details of what should be held in the private confines of an establishment..

the need to grandstand is great than discretion

Its a funny one . Im probably guilty of not being overly discrete or secretive about myself . Fairly forthcoming with face pics etc and its led to a couple of surprise encounters .

However i would never dream of giving anything away about anyone else be it a meet or if i recognised someone .

Been around long enough to see some socials ruined and make the press . Sadly some disgruntled folk will do whatever they can to destroy others

Its a bit like snow in december headlines tho . Doesnt sell papers .

Last one i mind was the carlton highland in edinburgh a masquerade ball was planned. Press got hold of it and suddenly it was a mass roman orgy planned for city centre hotel whilst innocent guests had dinner next door . Lol

I get it's each to their own there's different people with different levels

But sometimes people can be their own worst enemies....sometimes it can just be too public.

Glad I/we ain't the only one thou...was beginning to think it was just me and maybe I/we that were overly cautious.

There people who are really honest.mabe to honest. Then there is those who,s profile is just full of lies men who pretent to be women. Guys who say there single but are really married. Its a minefield but you need to have some sort of trust. Discrete is really important. As there's still a lot of stigma to openly liking nsa sex.

But think the OP was referring to the forums and the openness of folks shenanigans lol

But as said before some folk like to be private some don't

It's all about choice ours is we don't like shouting from the rooftops who we have met or want to meet

Discretion is very important for us. That's why we just sort of dip into fab for the occasional meet and aren't looking to make friends from the site or attend socials etc. Don't get me wrong we've met some really nice people that we get on great with but apart from a social night out before getting down to some naughty fun we aren't looking to include them in our circle of friends or meet up with them for non-fab related fun. Ultimately we already have many friends and a good social life so there's no need.

I can understand however that it may be different for others, especially singles, so it's just a case of whatever works for them.
