Some updates on what hapend at fridays social

ok bn watching the forums and how everyone is going to stop this sabotage happening again Fact it will never stop untill the culprate or culprates are found and how do we do that well in all honesty we cant

1 to send tx or call peeps just before venue starts isnt going to workthe venue was informed obviously while we were in it

2 whats not to say the culprate wont be there sitting lapping it up while it happens

3 id say organise as usuall dont change tactics or they have already won have a back up plan if something goes wrong

4 find a pub or club thats willing to accept us for who we are ive bn on phone all week to venues telling peeps what im looking for in a venue

5 I HAVE FOUND SOMEWHERE WHO IS HAPPY TO ACCOM US SWINGERS IN GLASGOW WHO WONT TURN NOSES UP AND WILL ACCEPT US FOR THE HAPPY FUN FILLED PEOPLE THAT WE ARE

SO maybe being more honest with venues is whats needed if ur a happy swinger then why not just come out and say what you are tht way no one can report or do anything about it just my thoughts xxxx

"SO maybe being more honest with venues is whats needed if ur a happy swinger then why not just come out and say what you are"

but what happens if we went to a social and members of our family, or friends worked at the venue? Dont think we would want that type of exposure, we dont see swinging as dirty or cheap, but many people do

P,,,if you beleive that,,,

we have all worked in places where secrets like that spread like wildfire.

but yur right if your upfront about things ,,ie,,tell the folk that you are organising a social and the staff /venue know then its up to the fab members to go or not.youve been upfront so no come back on you.

good luck xx

I have looked into this auds... and it is a good idea... was considering it for this years halloween social, but unfortunatly could not find 1 in the area i wanted... as for this post... no matter what any social organisers do or say.. there will always be someone who says something... wether intentionally or not! and as swingers i say its a risk we all take when we attend socials... not good to know, but true DM xxx

more north lincs than mids!

We have always made our venues aware that the party we are holding is for members of an adult dating site and have had no problems at all. If we are going to have games or a raffle they are told about this too and if they don't like the idea then we don't use their venue.

No socials I have been to (other than the Notts socials) have been anything other than adults having a night out with food, drink, dancing and fun (innocent-ish!)

I would bet that there is more lewd behaviour at hen and stag nights in some of the venues!

im also in favour of informing the venue who the social is for.

as for being "outed" as swingers you always run that risk at any social. no matter how hard you try to avoid it word will always eventually get round about us being fab members.

if i was really worried about being seen to be on fab i prob wouldnt attend socials. dont think id be able to enjoy myself if i was constantly looking over my shoulder.

GLASGOW

Can I just add my thoughts to this, there is some kind of stigma attached to being a swinger( the popular misconception is your morally bankrupt- not true by any means, but it is unfortunately some peoples perception only fuelled by the likes of the news of the world. I am not and never have been a prude or homophobic, but theres a number of lap dancing clubs, in glasgow, and also gay clubs(I am not anti-gay I was brought up by my parents to be tolerant of all peeps, regardless of race, creed, colour or sexual preference, and am happy to say that) however nobody batts an eyelid, when u see taxis advertising lap dancing clubs in the city centre, do they not attract a certain clientele?- I do of course appreciate that some fab members have high profile jobs, where discretion is needed, however where do you draw the line?

this is where i'm quite lucky, i havent informed the venue that this is a swingers social night, however this venue has held fetish nights, pole dancing competitions, burlesque nights and bdsm nigts. Swingers socials pale into comparison with some of these nights.

As an enterntainment venue, rather than a pub / club, they really dont care what happens as long as the venue doesnt get damaged and as long as the contracts etc are all signed and everything is paid for

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

I thought about this a lot too Tracy

and think its a really good idea to try and find a venue that was happy to accept us into their establishments.

As for ppl not being happy about being exposed as swingers well not sure what can be done about it as everytime you attend a social you run the risk of being exposed with the posibility meeting a family member or collegue or what ever as no one knows everyone who attending .

We're divided on this. We like to get involved in the social side of this site and make new friends. But, we also like to be discreet about what we're doing. I agree if the venue knows it's a doo for an adult dating site, there can't be any comeback. Adults will be adults. However, as I've heard that in the past, people have openly had sex on the premises in view of staff, I wouldn't be inclined to attend a social again. It's very rare in Glasgow that you're going to have a whole venue to yourself, as most pubs and clubs just have function rooms for you to use. It would be too much of a risk that you could bump into a friend, colleague, or family. It wouldn't take them too long to figure out what you're up to.... Just our opinion. xxx

I would imagine it is different for single guys than it is for couples to attend a swingers night. It is no different going to a nightclub to meet people in the hope of getting a shag later on that night or another. Slightly differnt looking for others to join them in the marital bed.

That's why all the single guys allegedly

terrified to go to a social is hard to believe. they could all meet up in advance and go in as a group of lads.

People spoiling socials is about a stupid grudges nothing more, nothing less.

my 2p worth

we have this exact same view. To be honest iv found it pretty hard in the past to stop a few ex- mates of mine trying to shag Pretty on the sly and should the fact that we involve selected others into our sexlife be found out, id need to do a Joseph Fritzel to keep her safe psml. Also, Pretty would be mortified if some of our non-scene friends found out, not to mention she could lose her job too.

we reckon booking a venue without 'coming out' and then behaving like adults during the night, is the only type of social we would want to attend. Informing people that it is a swingers event would only make us not attend at all x

Personally, if i catch anyone having sex in the venue, they will be escorted out of the premises, i have 2 door staff that i've hired for the night, and they wont put up with anyone doing this, thats what hotel rooms are for.

I think the idea of just informing the venues that we are from an online adult dating site is the best option, no embarressment, and if anyone is seen, you were there for moral support for a single friend = simples

if you tell them, please ask all the bar staff for their mobiles so they cant take any pics.

if I worked in a bar for a part time job and the gaffer said tonight we have a load of swingers coming in, I would be like ffs, canna wait to see them.

then my boss, GP, local bobby, lawyer, wifie from the checkouts at the local tesco come in... some may be more compromised than others, or maybe not.
