"Within walking distance of the Cleveland Street area? Were up for the weekend on 14/12 and wondered if anyone can give us advice on traditional friendly pubs/bars to visit - not really looking for the overpriced Wine bar full of younger people, just the good traditional bar/Pub type of place ![]() You can't come to Glasgow without visiting the famous Horseshoe Bar. It's in Drury St, between Renfield St & West Nile St. Well worth a visit.

"Personality I'd recommend the Merchant City area. Loads of friendly, busy bars. The brunswick hotel has a really good mix of people. Also merchant square. Loads of bars all under one roof. Move around without going outside! Enjoy! " ![]() ![]()
