Why is it that when you post a date for a meet, at least one person will always get back to you asking if you can do a day or two later?

I know the old adage is, "If you don't ask, you don't get". But in this case, it's just irritating.

Similar to the chancers who, when you post an auction item on fleabay, ask if you have a 'buy it now' price!!
