"Tbh I've got to watch a movie all the way through regardless, even if it takes me 5 goes lol Geek " I'd rather watch a movie I really like 5 times... back to back. Just tried watching "John dies at the end" and gave up. I think mood has a lot to do with it.

"Years ago I walked out of the cinema half way through Courage Under Fire " Never seen it but it gets favourable reviews. But then again so did American Psycho and I hated the ending, ruined the film for me.

""Life of Pi" I gave up on that one. I can think outside the box but with that one I couldn't even find the box. Beautiful cinematography is one thing but I like a story....or am I just thick? Answer carefully... " Never got round to watching it having lived the life of a pie there needs to be a story in there somewhere. It's meant to be a great book, but great books don't always transition to film well.

It's meant to be a great book, but great books don't always transition to film well." My feeling is if you read the book before you see the film, it's always a disappointment cause they leave so many good bits out and tweak it around and never cast actors you want. Then if you see the film when you read the book your imagination is spoilt cause you have the scenes in your head rather than forming your own pictures of people and places. I try to stick to either/or now.

"Inception " Brilliant film But then I do have lucid dreams and can never remember if I'm awake or still in a dream

"Inception Brilliant film But then I do have lucid dreams and can never remember if I'm awake or still in a dream " Yeah I liked Inception, but depending on my frame of mind there was as much chance of me switching off. I too have lucid dreams but mine are much more reminiscent of the film Insidious. I'm also surprised to see Interstellar, but I wasn't impressed greatly by Nolan's "the Dark Knight Rises". Maybe he's losing his touch.
