No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

You had a childhood before technology?

Or have you always grown up with technology as child?

I loved my childhood we were never in the house and always out and about in the neighbourhood playing or at the park or swimming baths..one things for sure we were never bored lol

In a way yes, we were always outside playing or exploring and it does seem as if it was a more innocent time.

I think the advances in technology, particularly the smart phone, have sounded the death knell for what we "auld yins" recognised as a childhood. My nephew asked me if I wanted a game of football recently and I said yeah alright give me five minutes. Out the back standing for 10 minutes waiting on him, ball in hand and he hadnt appeared. Went back inside to find him in his room with FIFA on the Xbox...that was his definition of a game of football. So sad!

God yes!!!!

Out all day with your mates on my bmx

Only went home when we got Hungary and the street lights were going on

God imagine the trouble I would have been in at school with a mobile phone ...eeeek!!!

And no mobile phone pics ... Means you never done it as no evidence

Technology is supposedly there to make life easier and more fun but I reckon its just making life more difficult.

People survived a long time without it yet there are some who say they cant survive without a phone or internet, even for a day lol

I had a phone and computer growing up but was always out anyways.

My kids are never in the house as they want to be out playing, climbing trees, dancing, on the trampoline and fighting with friends lol that's how they learn skills, their talents and limits.

Lx

It's quite sad really. I'm glad I grew up in a rural village where you would be out first thing climbing trees, making swings and just getting up to mischief

Out as soon as breakfast was had and didn't come home unless you were thirsty or hungry lol

We were hardly ever home because we got a big bottle of diluting juice and a jam sandwich which seen you through until dinner time lol... At hard times tho it was a bottle of water which became luke warm in the summer which was god damn awful lol

Definitely think tech and technology has ruined what we would have called childhood.

As so many have already said, out playing all day etc.

And there was an innocence back then that allowed you to stay a child longer I feel.

Kids grow up way too quick these days.

Aye, them were the days!

We didn't even have watches, be in when it's dark or the street lights come on was the rule

Not at all. I was the only child (also an only child) in the street and rarely had anyone to play with. I would have rather enjoyed it rather than having to play whist with granny.
