Social Side of Fab

With the Halloween Social fast approaching I got to thinking a little bit about social interaction on fab.

In the real world "swinging" is taboo in the majority of circles. So when your friends and family ask what you were up to at the weekend how do you respond?

Are socials an important part of swinging or is it just about the play?

Do you want to go to a social but are terrified of the thought?

Arranger and attended my first social the other week xx was so much fun and look I g forward to going to a lot more. I also like the social 121 with men I meet xx

Wouldn't hesitate in meeting up with some of the women for coffee/drinks and a gossip ether xx

For me the socials are an important part of swinging,have attended a few and never a bad one,great way for newbies(we were all new once),to get to know people without having any pressure or preconceived ideas about what goes on.

perhaps a lesson some members of the press could do with understanding.(oops did i say that out loud? )

The social side is a massive part of it I have given up on the advertised socials on this site because of the nature of them (wont go into that) but I could never just meet n f**k the freindship aspect is important

I couldn't agree with you more on all points. But particularly for newbies. When we attended our first social only Fly had been chatting on the site. I knew nobody and was terrified. It didn't take long for me to find my feet.

We are going to the Stirling Halloween social. The last event in Stirling earlier this year was our first.

We were both a bit nervous beforehand, although once there, it was fine. We found it invigorating in a way because everyone is there for a similar reason so to speak.

We enjoy the social aspect as much as the play side of swinging. Helps break the ice without any pretence of what should be happening.

Social events organised by site members are a great way of putting faces to names from the site and meeting like minded people.

As someone else mentioned id be fine meeting ladies for coffee n gossip too lol. Friendship is important as I dont mention swinginv to anyone unless I know them from fab n its nice to have friends on here too.

We regularly attended the big socials but after the disaster of the Edinburgh one a few yrs back we got very wary of them so stopped attending which was a shame as we loved meeting up with friends and folk we had spoken to in the chat room so..

Looking forward to the Xmas social

I remember your first social very well shy lol

Its amazing the amount of people so scared to attend a social yet once they have they are screaming out for the next one.

They are great fun and a great way to meet likeminded people.

And I've saw many friendships form from them

We love the social side of fab, it's a great relaxed way of meeting people.

We were very nervous going to our first social but were quickly put at ease by the wonderful people if fab, and we've made amazing friends and hopefully more to come!

We've organised 2 socials so far and now the Halloween one on Friday is fast approaching (still spaces left if anyone is interested!) and its going to be a great night!

Organising a social isn't easy, but we'll worth it!

My next one is 20th December in Glasgow. Seems ages away xx nothing happening in november????

Maybe arranging a drinks night could be worth a go xx

We love the social side of swinging as much as the naughty side, to be in a room with like minded people is relaxing and invigorating at the same time. We are counting down the sleeps until Friday

Would LOVE to attend a social.

Every time I try something happens and end up missing them.

Can't wait for the Xmas one.

Really looking forward to meeting some great people and hopefully making some new friends!
