Inappropriate Blocking

Hey all

I don't normally post on here but for once I find myself speechless (I know it's an oxymoron on a forum)

I've been chatting a lot to a nice lady all good nothing inappropriate said.

Suddenly I say in not from originally Scotland and bang! Message back "I don't do English"

Blocked ...

I know everyone has the right to an opinion but surely that's not the right way to go about it. A polite no thanks would have been ok but this is savage !!

Obviously her loss but I feel very saddened at the way it was done

Am I being to sensitive ???

Aye, i think that was a bit harsh! Maybe a lucky escape for you mate-will she 'do' Welsh or Irish...what about Swedish or German etc.

No your not being sensitive we all have our own reasons for blocking but this does seem a little extreme, but like all of us I'm sure who ever it was has their reasons for it just forget and move on.xx

Each to their own I guess and the recent referendum has stirred up a real hornets nest of nationalism but yeah, thats pretty damn harsh! Especially as you guys were getting on really well.

If somebody blocks you for a fickle reason, likelihood is they aren't genuine or are such a pain you wouldn't want to meet them anyway. Just forget it and move on

Perhaps fab should display the number of people you've blocked that might stop it

Being blocked is more often than not a blessing, there is something between the two people that is causing concern, angst or whatever. A message, a forum post, something said in chat, a sexual preference and a million other factors.

I have never, nor will I ever waste a nano second of my life wondering why a total stranger has blocked me or I them. I really couldn't give a flying fuck.

Alot of time i think people block simply because they can. Makes them feel powerful and important. Quite frankly they aint worth worrying about. Ive been blocked, sometimes even by folk i havent even spoke to. Those i have spoke to and have been blocked by I can honestly say i havent been offensive or anything yet have still be blocked. Basically its their loss and no skin off my nose.

Just accept that whoever blocked you had their own reason for doing so.

It could also be that someone you've been chatting to quite frequently blocks you by accident, I know I've done it as the block button is right between the reply and delete buttons.
